KEAM Application Form 2018 – The Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE), Government of Kerala, has closed KEAM 2018 application form on February 28. The application form of KEAM 2018 was available in online mode from February 1. Along with the application form, candidates had to pay the application fee. Candidates were able to fill the KEAM application form through the application portal using a valid email ID and mobile number. Upon successful registration on KEAM application portal, the candidate had to upload scanned copies of photograph, signature and left thumb impression in the prescribed format, and pay the application fee of Rs 700 (for SC Rs. 300). The application fee of KEAM could be paid either online or offline (e-challan). Online payment could be made using internet banking, credit card, or debit card. After filling in all details correctly and paying the application fee, the candidate has to take a printout of the application form of KEAM 2018 and send it along with the supporting documents to CEE till March 31. The KEAM 2018 application form is for admission to over 59,000 UG engineering seats offered by government and government-controlled engineering institutes in Kerala. Things to keep ready before filling KEAM Application Form 2018
A valid email ID and mobile number.
Scanned copies of photograph, signature and left thumb impression as per prescribed guidelines
- Birth Certificate/SSLC /Passport
- Income Certificate - Income certificate from the concerned village officer may be obtained, if needed, before filling up the application form.
- Non-Creamy Layer Certificate/Community Certificate (if applicable)
- Certificate for Special Reservation (if applicable)

How to fill KEAM 2018 Application Form?
To fill the application form of KEAM 2018, the candidate has to go through the following six steps. Since the registration process has ended, the candidates can check the steps for reference.

Step 1: Registration
Click on the “Registration” link
Enter the following details:
Date of birth
Email ID and mobile number
Security code displayed on screen
Upon successful registration, an application number will be generated that the candidate needs to note down. Using the system generated application number and password, the candidate will be able to view results of KEAM 2018, exercise option registration, and also check the allotment memo.

Step 2: Uploading of Scanned Images
In this step, the candidate must upload scanned images of photograph, signature and left hand thumb impression in the prescribed format given below:

Step 3: Fill the KEAM Application form 2018
The candidate has to next fill in all basic information pertaining to choices or courses, personal details, etc.
Choice of Courses: The candidate must select the course (s) to which admission is sought. The candidate has to select an exam centre from the available options.
Personal Details: In this section, the candidate has to enter details pertaining to gender, Aadhaar UID, permanent and communication address, etc.
Academic Details: The candidate has to furnish Qualifying examination details, exam status of 10+2 or equivalent, whether the candidate has applied for KEAM before, etc.
Communal Reservation: Through this section, the candidate will be able to claim communal reservation
Income Details: Candidate has to furnish details pertaining to family income, district, taluk, etc.
Before submitting the KEAM 2018 application form, the candidate must ensure that it is complete in all respects. It is because once the form is submitted there is no option to edit it.
Step 4: Pay the application fee
The exam conducting authority has reduced the application fee of KEAM 2018 by Rs 100. Candidates belonging to general category have to pay Rs 700, whereas, SC applicants have to Rs. 300 as the application fee. Candidates choosing Dubai as examination centre will have to remit an additional fee of Rs.12,000 irrespective of category. There are two modes of paying the application fee:
Online payment can be made through internet banking/Credit Card/ Debit Card. Upon successful payment, the candidate will be redirected to the home page of KEAM 2018 application form, where the “Payment” tab will be highlighted in green, indicating successful transaction of the fee.
If payment is unsuccessful, a message to that effect will display on the screen.
E-challan: To make the payment in this mode, the candidate must take a printout of the e-challan using the “Print e-challan” link. Using the printout, the candidate can make the cash payment at:

Note: After receiving the payment, the post office will make the necessary entries in their online portal as well on the e-challan form. The candidate before collecting the e-challan must ensure it is duly updated and signed, and that the official has recorded the transaction ID pertaining to the payment.
If the e-challan payment is successful, the “Payment Application Fee” would turn green.

Step 5: Take printout of KEAM application form 2018
After successfully making the payment, the candidate needs to take a printout of the application form of KEAM 2018, in a manner that it contains the main page of application and performa (s) of supporting documents. To take printout the candidate must use the “Print Application” option.
Step 6: Send KEAM application form with supporting proof to CEE

The first page of printout of application form of KEAM 2018 with photograph pasted (same as uploaded). It must also be duly attested by a Government Gazzetted Officer/Head of Institution.
Course Certificate in Original or Self Attested copy of Mark list (for candidates who studies Sanskrit at 10+2).
Original Community/Non Creamy Layer Certificate, ( for availing communal reservation).
Original Income Certificate (for fee concession / EC status).
Proof for Special Reservation, if claimed

How to reset password?
If the candidate has lost the password, there is an option to reset it. The steps are given below:
Click on the “Forgot Password” link
The candidate will be redirected to a log-in window. Log in using the following details:
Date of Birth
Email ID (should be the same as entered at time of registration)
Select a password
Click on submit
How to retrieve KEAM application number?
Click on the “Forgot Application Number” tab
Log in to the window that opens using application number, password, and DOB.
The application number will be displayed on screen. Note it down and keep it safe as it will be required for future reference.
How to check the status of KEAM 2018 Application Form?
The status of the application form of KEAM 2018 will be displayed on the home page of the candidate’s account. To view it, the candidate has to log-in to their individual accounts.
Types of status available
- Registration: Indicates Candidate’s Registration for online application.
- Upload Images: Shows whether the images of photograph, signature and thumb impression are uploaded in the portal.
- Fill Application: Indicates the application is filled up and finally submitted.
- Pay Application Fee: Indicates whether CEE office has received payment confirmation.
- Print Application: Denotes the printout of application is taken or not by the candidate.
- Received by CEE: This status indicates whether the CEE office has received and taken up the application for scrutiny. If the status is green, it means the application is taken up for scrutiny.
If there is a Green color against the status, it indicates completion of that step. On the other hand, a Red light signifies the step is yet to be performed.
Note: Candidates whose application form will be found defected will not be able to download KEAM 2018 admit card unless and until errors are rectified.

Cases under which KEAM application form 2018 could be rejected
- Uploaded images not meeting prescribed guidelines
- If the photo affixed on the printout of the application form of KEAM doesn’t match the photo that was uploaded online, the application could be rejected
- If the affixed photograph is not duly attested by the Head of the Institution in which the studied last or by a Government Gazetted Officer,
- Unclear and counterfeit signature and thumb impression can also lead to rejection.
- Not furnishing Nativity certificate with the printout.
- If the applicable application fee corresponding to the category is not paid, it is another reason for cancellation.
- If the printout of application and supporting documents reach the designated office after the last date.

Q. Is mandatory that candidates fill the KEAM 2018 application form in one go?
Ans. No, it is not necessary that the candidate fills the application form of KEAM at one single attempt. Instead, the candidate can use the "Save" button available on the application form to save data entered at any stage of the application process. The next time the candidate logs in to the application portal, the application fiiling process can be continued from where it was left off.
Q. How do I know whether my application has received the CEE office?
Ans. If the KEAM application form is successfully accepted, the “Received by CEE” under the “Application Status” will light up in green. The candidate will also receive a confirmation message on their registered mobile numbers.
