JEE Main Age Restriction 2026 - NTA has announced the details about the JEE Main 2026 age restriction on the website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. There is no age limit for JEE Mains. However, all aspirants must have passed class 12th in 2024/ 2025 or be appearing for class 12 in 2026. Aspirants are advised to check the JEE Main age restriction 2026 before applying for the exam. The authority had concluded the JEE Main application form for session 1 on November 27, 2025. Candidates can refer to the JEE Main eligibility criteria 2026 for more information regarding their age criteria. The National Testing Agency will conduct the JEE Main 2026 exam in the January and April sessions.

JEE Main Age Restriction 2026

The National Testing Agency has announced the conditions on the age limit for JEE Mains 2026. There is no age restriction for JEE Main 2026. Candidates belonging to any age group can attempt the IIT JEE exam as per the JEE Main age restriction rules. However, it must be noted that the year of clearing the class 12th boards is important. Aspirants must have passed the 12th class in 2024/ 2025 or they must be appearing for the qualifying exam in 2026.

JEE Main Age Restriction - Reserved Categories

There is no JEE Main age restriction for OBC and other categories like SC, ST, EWS or PWD. However, reserved category candidates are advised to contact the desired college for age relaxation criteria for JEE Main merit-based admission.

JEE Main Age Restriction for Droppers

Are there age restrictions for JEE Main second attempt? Well, the answer is no. As per the official notification, there is no JEE Main age restriction for droppers. The only factor that must be understood is that candidates must have a class 12th mark sheet dated 2024/ 2025/2026 at the time of admission through JEE Main.
