Hello,

For JEE Advanced, the eligibility depends on your JEE Main percentile and category rank. Generally, candidates need to be in the top 2.5 lakh candidates (across all categories) to qualify for JEE Advanced. The exact cutoff for OBC (Other Backward Classes) candidates will depend on the overall rank and the category-specific cutoff.

Since you scored 74 percentile in JEE Mains, it’s unlikely that you'll qualify for JEE Advanced, as the cutoff is typically much higher.

Hope it helps !

Hello there,

For your OCI son's IIT/NIT admissions based on JEE:

  • JEE Main: He's treated as General Category . Use standard JEE Main college predictors with his rank.

  • JEE Advanced:
    • OCI issued after March 4, 2021: Considered foreign national , applies directly to JEE Advanced for supernumerary seats (up to 10%). Prediction is harder due to limited cutoff data.

    • OCI issued before March 4, 2021: Generally treated as General Category , needs JEE Main rank. Use standard JEE Advanced college predictors.

  • No Category Reservations (except OPEN-PwD).
  • Use online JEE college predictor tools after results with his General Category rank.

Key: Check official JEE websites for the latest OCI rules. Prediction for the foreign national route in JEE Advanced is less precise.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, then feel free to share your questions with us, we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you, and I wish you all the best in your bright future.
