Is Calculator Allowed in JEE Advanced 2026? - Candidates taking the JEE Advanced 2026 are often confused about the use of calculators in the exam. As per the information brochure, candidates cannot use calculators in the JEE Advanced exam. Hence, they wont even be allowed to carry the calculators into the exam hall. However, students will be provided with a scribble pad for rough work or calculations. The JEE Advanced exam consists of a scribber pad for each paper. Candidates will not be given any extra scribber pad. The authority will start JEE Advanced 2026 registration in April 2026. Approximately 2 lakh students every year register for the JEE Advanced exam. The JEE Advanced 2026 will be conducted on May 17, 2026 in a computer-based test.

Candidates are not allowed to carry any type of calculator in the examination. Each student will get one scribble pad for each test paper in the JEE Advanced exam. The scribber pad consists of a header to write down the candidate's name and JEE Advanced roll number. Students will not be allowed to get any extra scribber pads in the examination. Candidates will also not be allowed to take the scribber pad back home after the JEE Advanced 2026.
Students will not be provided with a virtual calculator in JEE Advanced 2026. Any type of calculator will not be allowed in the JEE Advanced for 2026. Only candidates will be allowed to use scribble pads for rough work or calculations. Aspirants are requested to practice and focus on problem-solving skills.

The following are the guidelines to be followed on the day of the JEE Advanced exam:
Candidates are required to carry a printout of the JEE Advanced admit card along with a valid ID proof. The valid ID should be any one of them: Aadhaar Card, School/College/Institute ID, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, PAN Card, or Notarised Certificate with a photograph.
Candidate’s identity will be verified at the time of verification at the exam centre. Students having discrepancies in their identity will not be allowed to appear for the JEE Advanced exam.
Use of any unfair means in the examination will lead to the disqualification of the candidate from the JEE Advanced exam and related admission process.
Candidates are required to carry pens, pencils, water in a transparent bottle, a printout of the admit card, and an original photo ID to the examination hall.
Candidates should report at the examination centre in advance to complete all the verification and formalities before.

Repeating class 11th does not affect your JEE eligibility .
For JEE Main there is no age limit , you can appear if you have passed or are appearing in class 12th in the eligible year , so repeating the class 11th will not affect your eligibility.
