MHT CET 2026 Latest News and Updates - According to the latest news report, the MHT CET 2026 exam will be held in April and May, 2026. Chandrakant Patil, Maharashtra’s Higher and Technical Education Minister, has announced that the MHT CET 2026 exam will be held twice from now onwards. Maharashtra CET Cell will publish the complete details soon. The authority will release all the MHT CET latest news and updates on the official website, cetcell.mahacet. The same will be provided here. As per last year's data, candidates will be able to do the MHT CET registration starting from December 2025, tentatively. The MHT CET exam will be conducted in online mode.
Moreover, the MHT CET exam centres are said to be limited within the state. Those who clear the Maharashtra CET 2026 exam will be eligible for admission to UG courses in participating colleges.

As per last year data, candidates belonging to the general category, OMS, and J & K migrants have to pay Rs. 1000 + bank charges, whereas, reserved category candidates and persons with disability had to pay Rs. 800 + bank charges as the registration fee.

As per the MHT CET syllabus 2024 with weightage PCM and PCB prescribed by the Maharashtra CET Cell, 20 percent weightage is given to the Class 11 topics and the remaining 80 percent to the Class 12 topics of the Maharashtra board.

Hope you are preparing well for the exam ! In the mht cet exam there are physics , chemistry, mathematics and biology . Class 12th and class 11th topics will be asked in the examination and 20% weightage is given to the Class 11th syllabus and 80% weightage to the Class 12th syllabus. This is most important thing to know for a aspirant . Know your syllabus and prepare accordingly for the exam .
The eligibility criteria for the exam is ;-
Candidates should have passed a 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board/university with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
