Some students are not able to give admission due to various reasons. In cases where the candidates have not given entrance tests, they can opt for direct admission. Some colleges and universities offer direct engineering admission. They are mostly private institutes. They offer admission based on class 12th marks. Some colleges also have NRI and management quota seats. But they only have 25-30% of seats reserved for such admissions. The student doesn’t need entrance exam scores to be admitted to such colleges.

Information about universities offering direct admission to BTech courses can easily be found by candidates on the internet. Questions related to JEE Main

Have a question related to JEE Main ?

Hello Greetings

JEE Percentile and AEEE Marks

The JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) percentile and AEEE (Amrita Engineering Entrance Examination) marks are two separate entities. The JEE percentile is calculated based on your performance relative to other candidates, while AEEE marks are based on your absolute score.

Impact of Low JEE Percentile on AEEE

A low percentile in JEE will *not directly affect* your good marks scored in AEEE. The two exams are separate, and the admission processes are independent.

What Matters for AEEE

For AEEE, what matters most is your score and rank in the exam. If you've scored well in AEEE, you'll be considered for admission to Amrita University based on your AEEE rank.

Takeaway

Focus on your AEEE score and rank, and don't worry too much about your JEE percentile. You've prepared well for AEEE, and that's what matters most for admission to Amrita University.

Keep in mind that some colleges or universities might consider JEE scores or percentiles for admission, but it's not directly related to your AEEE performance.

Have a great day

It's completely understandable that you're feeling overwhelmed after facing so many health challenges during such a crucial phase of your JEE preparation. Here’s a structured approach to help you get back on track:

1. Mental Reset and Motivation

  • Take a deep breath : It’s not too late. Many aspirants crack JEE in just one year of focused preparation.
  • Avoid self-blame : Your health setbacks were beyond your control. Focus on what you can do now.

2. Understand Your Current Situation

  • Identify strong areas (topics you already know well).
  • Make a list of weak areas and topics from Class 11 that need revision.
  • Review the JEE syllabus and prioritize topics that have more weightage.

3. Choose the Right Online Batch

Look for online coaching platforms with structured, fast-track programs for JEE. Some good options:

  • Unacademy : Offers dedicated droppers' courses with live classes and doubt-solving.
  • Physics Wallah : Known for affordable and effective courses, including droppers’ batches.
  • Aakash BYJU’s : Focused study plans and personalized support.
  • Vedantu : Provides interactive classes and tailored learning paths.

4. Recommended Books for JEE

  • Physics :
    • Concepts of Physics by H.C. Verma (Volume 1 & 2)
    • DC Pandey (Arihant Series) for problem-solving
  • Mathematics :
    • RD Sharma (for basics)
    • Cengage Series / Arihant for advanced practice
  • Chemistry :
    • Physical Chemistry: N. Awasthi / RC Mukherjee
    • Organic Chemistry: MS Chauhan
    • Inorganic Chemistry: NCERT (must-read)
  • NCERT : Essential for Chemistry and Mathematics fundamentals.

5. Plan Your Study

  • Daily Schedule :
    • Allocate 6–8 hours/day for focused study.
    • Divide time into:
      • Class 11 revision : 40%
      • Class 12 topics : 50%
      • Mock tests : 10%
  • Weekly Goals : Cover one major topic per subject each week.
  • Use the Pomodoro Technique for better focus.

6. Focus on Class 11 Key Topics

  • Physics : Mechanics, Thermodynamics, SHM
  • Mathematics : Quadratic Equations, Trigonometry, Complex Numbers
  • Chemistry : Atomic Structure, Equilibrium, Chemical Bonding

7. Practice and Mock Tests

  • Enroll in a test series (Allen, FIITJEE, or NTA Abhyas).
  • Solve previous years’ JEE Main and Advanced question papers.
  • Analyze mistakes after every test and focus on weak areas.

8. Stay Healthy and Stress-Free

  • Prioritize your health. Eat nutritious food and stay hydrated.
  • Include light physical activity or meditation to reduce stress.

9. Parental Involvement

  • Share your concerns with your parents and set realistic expectations.
  • Request their support in creating a stress-free environment.

10. Seek Help When Needed

  • Don’t hesitate to ask doubts from teachers, peers, or online mentors.
  • Use apps like DoubtNut or HashLearn for instant doubt-solving.

Final Thoughts:

You have the determination to bounce back. Focus on consistent effort rather than perfection. With a solid plan and perseverance, you can still achieve a great result in JEE!

If you have already paid the JEE Main exam fees for the January attempt , you do not have to pay again for the April attempt .

The JEE Main exam fees are valid for both attempts (January and April) , meaning you can appear for both attempts with the same payment, provided you have completed the registration for the April attempt as well.

Important Points:

  1. Two Attempts : JEE Main allows candidates to appear for the exam twice a year, in January and April .
  2. No Extra Fees : If you have paid the fees for the January attempt, the same fees cover both attempts. You do not need to pay again for the April attempt.
  3. Registration : You will need to fill out the application form for the April attempt separately. Make sure to check the official JEE Main website for any updates on registration and application dates.
  4. Results of January Attempt : If you do not perform well in the January attempt, you can still appear for the April attempt to improve your score. Both attempts will be considered for your final rank.

Always double-check the official JEE Main guidelines for specific updates or any changes in the process.

Hello,

For the BS program at IISc Bangalore, admission is based on JEE Mains scores, but there is an interview process for the final selection . Here's the process:

  • IISc offers BS programs through JEE Mains and KVPY.
  • After qualifying through JEE Mains, candidates need to appear for an interview.
  • The interview assesses academic potential, problem-solving skills, and general aptitude.
  • Final selection depends on the JEE Mains score and the interview performance.
  • It is important to clear both stages for securing admission to the program.

Hope it helps !
