Hello Aspirant! In KEAM results, rank will usually indicate your general rank on the rank list (unless otherwise specified as a category rank). Since your belonging to Ezhava category (OBC), your category rank will be displayed separately when the seat allotment is taking place in the counseling or in your profile, under "Category Details". You should also notice rank break down near the counselling on the KEAM portal.
With a KEAM rank of 19,816, you have a fair chance of getting admission in decent government or aided engineering colleges in Kerala, especially in branches like Mechanical, Civil, or Electronics and Communication. Getting Computer Science in top-tier colleges like CET Trivandrum or GEC Thrissur may not be possible, but you can definitely target good colleges like Mar Athanasius College of Engineering, College of Engineering Cherthala, or Government Engineering College Idukki.
These colleges offer reasonable placement opportunities and their annual fees usually stay within 50,000, especially for government quota seats. Make sure to participate in all rounds of counselling and keep your choices broad to increase your chances.
Hello Aspirant,
With a 98.14 percentile in KEAM 2025, your estimated state merit rank would likely fall between 2,500–4,000. This puts you well within the cutoff range for College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram (CET TVM) for branches like ECE, EEE, ME, and CIVIL.
Here’s a comparison with 2024–25 cutoffs (General category, Kerala state merit):
You have excellent chances of securing a seat in Mechanical, Civil, EEE, or ECE at CET TVM.CSE might be slightly tough, as its closing rank is ~530, but if your rank is below ~1,000–1,500, it's still possible in later counselling rounds.
All the best for your KEAM counselling
With a normalized KEAM score of 38.25 and 333/480 in PCM (Kerala Board), your expected rank is likely above 50,000, based on previous year trends. This rank may limit your chances for top government engineering colleges but you may still get admission in private or self-financing colleges.
The official rank list will be released on July 10, 2025. Once it's out, you can check your exact rank and plan for counselling accordingly.
You can apply for KEAM when you are about to complete your twelfth standard or have a qualifying exam result ready Most students apply after receiving their plus two marks or while awaiting results The online application for KEAM usually starts in April and continues till May Each year the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations Kerala releases the prospectus and application form during this time To apply you must visit the official KEAM portal register with your email and mobile number fill in personal and academic details and upload scanned documents like plus two hall ticket signature and photo You should also choose your preferred courses and exam centres and pay the registration fee successfully It is important to keep track of dates and requirements in the prospectus after applying you will receive an admit card for KEAM exam which usually takes place in May or June Your final admission will depend on KEAM score plus plus two marks in Physics Chemistry and Mathematics Make sure your documents are ready and monitor the official portal for announcements and updates
If you got 25 marks in KEAM (after normalization) and 341 in the board exam, your KEAM rank is likely to be above 50,000.
Dear student,
You
cannot get admission to BAMS
in Kerala
just by writing the KEAM exam
, but
KEAM registration is still required
for the admission process. BAMS seats in Kerala are
allotted based on your NEET-UG score
, not KEAM marks.
To be eligible, you must have passed 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology , and also qualified NEET . After NEET results are out, the Kerala CEE conducts centralized counselling (CAP) for BAMS and other medical courses.
So, even though KEAM doesn't conduct an entrance test for BAMS, you must register on the KEAM portal and submit your NEET score there to be considered for state quota seats.
NEET score is mandatory for BAMS.
KEAM registration is required to participate in Kerala's counselling.
Admission is through centralized allotment based on NEET rank.
Make sure you’ve done both— appeared for NEET and registered through KEAM —to be eligible for BAMS in Kerala.
