Questions related to JEE Main

Have a question related to JEE Main ?

Dear Candidate ,
Yes , you are eligible and have a reasonable chance of getting a seat through HPCET counseling, especially in colleges and branches where the cutoff is lower for ST candidates.
Based  on previous years trends and the current 2025 data , ST category candidates with similar or even lower scores have secured admission in government and affiliated private colleges in Himachal Pradesh , such as JNGEC and other HPTU- affiliated institutes. Final allotment will depend on the 2025 cutoffs , your preferences , and seat availability.

Hello Aspirant,

Yes, you can apply to National Scholarship Portal (NSP) scholarship program in your second year of BTech even if you did not apply in your first year. NSP accepts first year applications with JEE Mains scores. For second year applicants, this field may not be necessary or displayed.

Entailment solutions:-

  • Check to see if there is an option to upload documents manually. Perhaps it will allow you to upload your JEE scorecard.
  • Check to see if there is an "other examinations" or some version, you can enter this information.
  • Contact the NSP helpline (0120 - 6619540) or email them to find out.

Dear  Sir,
The information that you have given suggests that your son has cleared the cutoff and is eligible for admission through JoSSA counseling. While top NITs like Trichy , Warangal , and Surathkal may be out of reach for branches like CSE and ECE due to their much  lower closing ranks for OBC , there are still good options available. He has a fair chance of getting branches like Civil, Mechanical or Metallurgical and Materials Engineering in mid to lower -tier NITs such as Puducherry , Arunachal Pradesh , Meghalaya and Mizoram .In IIITs and GFTIs , which usually have higher closing ranks , he may get core branches like r ECE in newer or less competitive campuses such as Bhagalpur , Kalyani  or GFTIs as Assam University or Gurukula Kangri .

dear student,

If you are giving the re-exam for Mathematics and you pass it, you will become eligible for IIT admission , provided you meet all other criteria (such as minimum percentage or top 20 percentile in your board for your category). IITs require you to have passed Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in your 12th board exams.

However, you must submit your passing certificate and marksheet before the IIT admission deadline. If your re-exam results are declared and you pass before the document verification/counselling process ends, you can take admission in IIT. If your results come after the admission process is over, you will not be eligible for this year and may have to try again next year.

dear student,

Yes, if you passed 10th in 2022 and will pass 12th in 2026 for the first time , then you are eligible for JEE Advanced 2026, as long as you meet all the other conditions.

You need to qualify JEE Main in 2026 and be among the top 2.5 lakh candidates . Also, you should be born on or after October 1, 2000 (for general category), with a 5-year relaxation for SC, ST, and PwD categories.

You can appear for JEE Advanced only twice in two consecutive years , so if you’re attempting 12th in 2026, you can appear in 2026 and 2027.

Also, make sure you have Physics, Chemistry, and Maths in your 12th subjects, as they’re mandatory.

So overall, yes — if you're meeting all these criteria, you’ll be eligible for JEE Advanced 2026.
