Download the JEE Main 2026 admit card- Candidates should first download the JEE Main admit card 2026 from the official website. The JEE Main 2026 admit card must be downloaded onto an A4 sheet. It is very important to carry a physical copy of the admit card to the JEE Main 2026 exam centre, as soft copies will not be accepted.
Use a recent photograph- Candidates must ensure that they use a photograph that is not older than six months while pasting.
Photo Dimensions- Candidates should ensure that the photo meets the prescribed dimensions. the dimensionless are 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm, passport-sized photo
Use proper adhesive- Use a glue stick as opposed to liquid glue. This is because liquid glue takes longer to dry, and the photo can move, getting adhesive all over the admission card.

Ensure that the uploaded picture and the photo that is pasted on the admit card are the same. In case, same photo is unavailable, candidates should paste the most recent picture that resembles the uploaded picture closely to avoid being disqualified.
Care must be taken that the background of the photo is white and 80% face is coverage, including ears. Avoid brightly coloured or patterned backgrounds in the photo.
Ensure the photo is pasted in the designated area. Pasting the photo anywhere else will cause the admit card to be invalid
Only use glue to stick the photo in the admit card. Candidates should prefer using a glue stick over liquid glue as it dries better and faster. Avoid using items like staples, tape, or glue that peels away easily.
The photo should not cover up any important details such as roll number, exam date and exam centres , name of guardian, etc when pasted.

Carry extra copies: Always carry one or 2 extra photos to the exam hall in case of emergencies.
Stick photo in Advance- Candidates are advised to stick their photo on the JEE Main 2026 admit card before reaching the exam centre. Waiting until reaching the exam centre to stick the photo might cause a last-minute rush. The glue might also not dry properly and the photo can fall off.
