MHT CET 2026 New Changes- Maharshtra State CET Cell released the MHT CET new changes 2026 at cetcell.mahacet.org. As per the MHT CET 2026 new changes in registration, Aadhaar details and APAAR ID must be verified through Digilocket for successful registration. The MHT CET 2026 application form has been released on January 10. The revised MHT CET 2026 registration fee for a single attempt is Rs 1300 (general) and Rs 1000 (reserved). Moreover, the Maharashtra CET 2026 exam will be held within the state only. The most important new changes in MHT CET 2026 are that it will be held twice. The MHT CET 2026 exam dates are April 11 to 19 (PCM) and April 21 to 26 (PCB), for sesssion 1. Candidates will have to pay an increased fee while applying for the MHT CET exam.

The exam conducting body has released the registration notice stating that Aadhaar and APAAR ID are mandatory for MHT CET registration 2026. Applicants are asked to generate APAAR ID for MHT CET registration 2026. The MHT CET 2026 registration fee has been increased. The MHT CET exam centres will not be available outside the state. Also, there are increases in the seat acceptance fee. As per the official notification, the MHT CET exam will be held twice. MHT CET New Changes 2026- Exam Frequency

The MHT CET 2026 exam frequency will be two. The State CET Cell will conduct the Maharashtra CET 2026 exam in two sessions, first in April 2026 and second in May 2026, for PCM and PCB. Candidates will get the opportunity to appear twice for the exam. Only the best scores of two will be considered at the time of admission. MHT CET New Changes 2026 in Registration

The authority has announced changes in MHT CET 2026 registration. Here are the point-wise details.

  • MHT CET 2026 Registration Fee Revised- Starting from this year, the MHT CET 2026 registration fee will be increased. The revised MHT CET 2026 registration fee will be Rs 1300 (general) and Rs 1000 (reserved). Each year, the authority is to hike the MHT CET application fee by 10% to mitigate the costs of conducting the exam.
  • Adhaar/ APAAR in MHT CET 2026 Application Form- To avoid information mismatch and duplication of details, the authority will integrate Aadhaar and APAAR through DigiLocker in the form-filling process.
  • UDID for PWD Candidates- Other than the disability certificate, candidates are advised to get the UDID card, as it may be necessary during CAP.
  • Details of Scribe- PwD applicants will have to provide details of two scribes when filling out the form.
  • Choosing Exam Centres- Candidates will be able to choose the MHT CET exam centres from those available within the state only.

MHT CET 2026 New Changes in Exam Centres

As per the latest notice for registration, the MHT CET exam centres 2026 are available within state only. That is, the authority will conduct the exam within Maharashtra. State Minister of HTE, Chandrakant Patil, had stated previously that the MHT CET exam will not be held in centres outside Maharashtra, to avoid malpractices. The announcement came after the MHT LLB row.

The authority has not announced any new changes in the MHT CET exam pattern and syllabus. The MHT 2026 exam pattern and syllabus have been released on the official website. Since there are no changes as per the MHT CET 2026 new updates about the syllabus and pattern, candidates are advised to prepare for the exam accordingly.

MHT CET New Changes 2026 in Counselling

  • MHT CET Mock counselling round 2026- From this year onwards, the authority will conduct a mock round of MHT CET counselling and seat allotment. It will be held as a practise round to familiarise candidates with the counselling process.
  • MHT CET 2026 Seat Acceptance Fee - The authority will levy a higher seat acceptance fee in the last rounds of MHT CET counselling. Previously, the seat acceptance changes were uniform across all rounds. Now, to encourage candidates to accept seats in the initial counselling phases. This step is expected to make more seats available.
