    Preparation Tips For WBJEE Exam

Here are a few points students must keep in mind:

    • Do not start new topics now. Whatever you have not studied until today, leave it. Picking up a new chapter at this stage will only create confusion and take away time from what you already know.
    • Keep your hall ticket and ID ready. Do not leave it for the last minute. Keep everything you need to carry to the exam centre in one place before you sleep.
    • Get a good night's sleep. This matters more than most students realise. A rested mind reads questions clearly and avoids silly mistakes that a tired mind makes.
    • On exam day, read every question fully. Do not assume a question is the same as one you have practised before. One small change in the numbers or conditions can completely change the answer.
    • Mock test and Previous year's question papers. Go through all the mistakes that you have made in your mock test and previous year's question papers so that you do not repeat the same mistakes in the exam.
    • Negative Marking: Read the question twice before answering. If you're not fully sure which options are correct, partial marking is better than no attempt — but incorrect selections cost marks too. So leave it.
    • Between the two shifts: Don't spend the break analysing Paper 1 with your friends. It won't change anything, and it'll just mess with your head going into Paper 2. Have lunch, take a short walk.
    • Do not spend too much time on one question. If something is taking longer than that, move on and come back to it later.
