A score of 120-140 is considered secure for obtaining a seat at Manipal University, Jaipur.
Based on previous cutoff trends, the expected MET 2025 cutoff ranges are as follows: MIT Manipal (583 to 35,385), SMIT Sikkim (17,622 to 35,488), and MU Jaipur (10,787 to 35,584).
Dear Candidate ,
With a MET 2025 score of 184 out of 400 and an All India Rank of 221 , you have a very good chance of getting a seat in the Bachelor of Occupational Therapy ( BOT ) course at Manipal College of Health Professions . In previous years , the closing rank for BOT has gone up to around 797 , so your current rank is well within the expected cutoff range. You should stay updated on the counseling schedule through the official Manipal Portal and be ready with your documents for the admission process .
With a MET rank of 7,299, securing admission to Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) at the Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), Manipal campus is unlikely based on previous years' cutoffs.
Previous Year ECE Cutoffs at MIT Manipal
In the 2024 admission cycle, the closing ranks for ECE at MIT Manipal were:
Round 1: 5,909
Round 2: 6,349
Your rank of 7,299 exceeds these cutoffs, indicating that admission to ECE at the Manipal campus may not be feasible
With an 8.9k MET rank, there's a good chance you can get into the B.Tech IT program at Manipal University Bangalore, but it depends on the specific cutoff for that program and your category (if applicable).
The expected cutoff for MIT Manipal can be between 5k to 35k.

With a score of 130 in KCET 2025, getting a CSE seat in top government or top-tier private colleges in Bangalore may be challenging, especially under the General category. However, you still have a chance in some good private colleges depending on your category (like SC, ST, OBC, 3A, etc.) and whether you belong to a rural or Kannada medium quota. Colleges like Atria Institute of Technology, AMC Engineering College, or New Horizon College of Engineering may be within reach for CSE or similar branches like ISE or AI&DS.
Keep checking the official KEA counseling portal for cutoff ranks from the previous years, as they give a clearer idea of what to expect. Also, try keeping backup options like Information Science, Artificial Intelligence, or ECE in slightly lower-tier colleges, as they sometimes offer similar opportunities. If you’re aiming for CSE specifically, you can also consider applying for management quota or explore spot round counseling if available.
Hi Johan,
You can only amend your second PUC board marks to your KCET (or MET) after your third improvement exams. You will have to upload your new marks on the KEA (Karnataka Examinations Authority) portal after the results come out in the first week of July in the allowed window of time for correction or updating the grades.
If the marks increased in the PCME subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English), it could affect your KCET ranking, since 50% of your CET rank is based on the board exam marks in PCME subjects. Make sure you are monitoring the official site for ongoing information about time required to enter marks as well as document verification.
