About KRLMPCA CET 2026
KRLMPCA CET is the entrance exam organized by the Karnataka Religious & Linguistic Minority Professional Colleges Association (KRLMPCA) for selecting competent candidates for the Engineering programmes being offered at nine participating Engineering/Technology institutes. KRLMPCA CET is a state-level examination and the exam is conducted in offline mode.

KRLMPCA will release the KRLMPCA CET eligibility criteria on its official website and the notification. Candidates who fulfil the KRLMPCA CET 2026 eligibility criteria can submit the KRLMPCA application 2026. Candidates must read the eligibility criteria of KRLMPCA CET 2026 before applying online.
Candidates should pass II PUC (Pre University Certificate)/12th or equivalent qualifying exam with a minimum of 45% and should have studied Physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry/Electronics/Computer Science/Biology/Biotechnology as optional subjects in the qualifying exam with English as a Language subject. 40% in respect of SC/ST/OBC candidates of Karnataka state. Candidates who are still awaiting the result of class 10+2 will also be eligible to fill out the KRLMPCA CET 2026 application form.
The authority will begin the KRLMPCA CET 2026 registration tentatively in March 2026. Candidates can access the KRLMPCA CET 2026 application form on the official website. Aspirants willing to participate in KRLMPCA CET 2026 have to fill out the online application form and submit it within the given time frame. Only those candidates who submit the application form correctly by filling in their details in the stipulated time will be issued the KRLMPCA CET admit card 2026 to appear in the exam.

Step 2 - Once candidates are done with filling in the relevant information in the application form, they have to download the application form take print-outs of this form and proceed towards the payment process. A copy of the application form should be retained by the candidates till the end of the admission process, A demand draft of Rs. 1000/- favouring KRLMPCA and payable at Bangalore has to be submitted.
Step 3 - Candidates have to send the complete form by speed post/private courier in a manner so that it reached the below-given address on or before the last date of receiving the filled downloaded application.

The authority will issue the KRLMPCA CET 2026 admit card tentatively in May 2026. The KRLMPCA CET hall ticket for 2026 will be available for those candidates who submit the KRLMPCA application form. Candidates have to provide the login credentials, such as their registered mobile number and date of birth, to download the KRLMPCA 2026 admit card. Without producing the admit card, candidates will not be allowed at the time of the entrance exam. The authority is expected to release the KRLMPCA 2026 provisional answer key in May 2026, after the completion of the exam. Candidates can use the answer key of KRLMPCA CET 2026 to calculate their probable scores. Any request for revaluation or re-totaling will not be accepted because valuation and scoring is based on the scanning of OMR sheets.
Merit/Rank will be prepared on the basis of applicants' score in the KRLMPCA CET 2026
Only those candidates will be considered eligible for admission who will score at least 90 out of 180.
The KRLMPCA CET counselling will be conducted in online mode by participating institutes. Only qualified candidates are able to participate in the counselling process. Candidates have to go through the following steps for the KRLMPCA CET 2026 online counselling process.
Apply for counselling using the given link. Enter the admission ticket numbers. Enter the date of birth info as given while filling out the application form.
Select the college of choice in order. Select the Engineering College as per preference. The priority of the options selected will be similar to the order they were entered. Seat allotment was done on the basis of the merit ranks of the candidates and the choices entered of course and college.
Candidates have to check their seat allotment of the KRLMPCA CET 2026 details online. Candidates willing to accept an allotted Course/College can visit the institute on a designated date with original copies of documents. Documents of the candidate will be checked by the concerned institute. If all goes well candidates will be asked to pay a fee. If the documents are not in order, candidates will be informed about this, and the seat forfeited. Counselling will be held in two or more rounds till the vacant seats were filled up. Fees payable after an allotment are Rs 1,69,912 + college fees as applicable.

CLAT is a 2 hour test with 150 MCQs. Each correct answer gets you 1 mark and wrong answer takes away 0.25 marks. The exam is divided into 5 subjects:
English:
You will be given passages of about 450 words. These passages are usually from Contemporary or Historically signification fiction and nonfiction writing. The standard would be of 12th standard student. So each Passage has a series of questions which will check your Comprehension and language skills. You will be required to Read and comprehend the main point discussed in the passage. Draw Inferences and conclusions based on the passage. Summarise the passage. You will have to compare and contrast the different viewpoints set out in the passage. You will have to understand the meaning of various words and phrases used in the passage.
Current Affairs including General Knowledge: You will be given passages of upto 450 words and these passages are usually taken from News, Journalistic sources and nonfiction writing. The questions may include legal information or knowledge but do not need any additional knowledge of the law beyond the passage. This sections requires you to demonstrate knowledge of various aspects of current affairs and general knowledge including Contemporary events of significance at National and International Level, Arts and Culture, International Affairs and Historical Events.
Logical Reasoning section consists of Short passages of about 300 words each. You have to recognise an argument, its premises and conclusions. You have to read and identify the arguments set out in a passage. Critically analyse the patterns of reasoning and assess how conclusions may depend on particular premises or evidence. You have to infer what follows from the passage and draw relationships and analogies, identify contradictions and equivalence.
Legal Reasoning section has passages of 450 words each which may relate to fact situations or scenarios involving legal matters, public policy questions or moral philosophical enquiries. You need not require any prior legal knowledge. General awareness will do. Yuo have to idenify and infer the rules and passages set out in the passage and apply those rules to various fact situations and understand how changes to the rules or principles may alter the application to various fact situations.
Quantitative Techniques section includes short set of facts or prepositions, graphs, or other textual, pictorial or diagrammatic representations of numerical information followed by a series of questions. You need to apply 10th standard mathematical operations on ratios and proportions, basic algebra, mensuration and statistical estimation.
