If a student withdraws a seat within the deadline specified by JoSAA.
If a seat is not allotted after the seat acceptance fee is paid during the counselling process.
If a candidate withdraws from the admission process before completing the final procedure and formalities.
If the allotted seat gets cancelled due to eligibility reasons, or discrepancies issues during document verification.

The authorities do not grant refunds in some situations. The authority cancels the JoSAA fee refund under the following circumstances:
If the seat withdrawal process is not submitted through the JoSAA official website within the specified time.
If the student does not report to the allotted college after the seat allocation process, then no refund will be given.
Admission is cancelled after the completion of the admission process and confirmation of seat allocation.
If the refund is applied after the request is submitted after the deadline set by JoSAA.
If an applicant does not follow the counselling guidelines, rules, and deadlines set by JoSAA.
