After the completion of the JoSAA 2026 Round 5, if a candidate is assigned a seat, they must complete the remaining counselling process and proceed with reporting and verification. However, if candidates are not allotted seats in the JoSAA Round 5, they can opt for the post-JoSAA option: CSAB special rounds for vacant NIT/IIIT/GFTI seats. Candidates must note that CSAB doesn’t carry the IIT seats. Here is more information on what steps to follow after JoSAA Round 5 2026.
Candidates must download the JoSAA final allotment from the official website.
If satisfied with the seats, they must pay the seat acceptance fee and confirm the seats.
Next, they must visit the allotted college for document verification.
Finally, the candidate must pay the complete admission fees and finalise their admission at the college.
Since JoSAA round 5 is the last, candidates must register for the CSAB special rounds if they still want an NIT/IIIT/GFTI seat.
They must fill their choices for CSAB separately.
The CSAB counselling process is conducted in three rounds.
