JEE Main 2019 Number of Attempts is one of the major queries of students since the NTA announcement on July 7, 2018. With the choice of two attempts every year given to every student, the question that arises is the number of total attempts that students will be allowed for cracking JEE Main? According to NTA, the number of attempts for admission in a particular academic session will be considered as One. NTA has announced the JEE Main result date for Paper I. The result is scheduled to be announced on April 30, 2019, however it can be released earlier. JEE Main 2019 was a computer-based test for Paper 1. For Paper 2, only Mathematics and Aptitude was conducted as a computer-based test and Drawing was conducted as a pen and paper test. The entrance exam was held twice in a year by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admissions to the 31 NITs, 23 IIITs and 23 GFTIs through JoSAA counselling.

Year of Appearance in Qualifying Examination (QE) – Candidates must have passed their class 12 exam in 2017/ 2018 or must be appearing for the exam in 2019. It may be noted that students who have appeared for their class 12 in 2016 but have failed and re-appeared in 2017 will not be considered eligible.
Number of subjects in the Qualifying Examination (QE) - Candidates must have studied at least five subjects in class 12th or equivalent exam.
Subjects to study for JEE Main 2019 – B.Tech aspirants must have studied Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject in class 12 and must have passed in each subject.
B.Arch aspirants appearing for JEE Main Paper 2, they must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and also 50% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination. No Diploma holder is eligible for the entrance exam. Rest the eligibility criteria remain the same as B.Tech aspirants.
Pass Percentage in Qualifying exam – While there is no set percentage to appear for the exam, the pass percentage required for admissions is specified clearly. For admissions, candidate should have secured at least 75% marks in the class 12 examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the exam conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST candidates the qualifying marks for admissions would be 65% in the class 12 examination.
JEE Main 2019 Number of Attempts
Originally every candidate has a maximum of three attempts for JEE Main. Candidates can appear twice for the entrance test in a year. So this is used in correlation with the original number of attempts, from 2019 onwards, JEE Main number of attempts in total will be six.
