my jee 2020 percentile is 87.78 ,and I belong to obc. can I get seat in iiit colleges??

Yash Dev Student Expert 26th May, 2020
Hello student with 87 percentile being an OBC category student its difficult to get admission into any IIITS or NIT's as we all know that seats are very limited and admission is directly based on merit rank.

Cut off vary every year on various factors like the level of question in the entrance examination and total number of applicants in that examination.

Feel free to comment if you have any doubt
Good luck

I cant stand focusing on my studies. I am preparing for JEEMAIN 2020. I need to get atleast 200+Marks in jeemain exam. Are there any focusing tips for preparing for the exam? I am getting with the phone and as I was in the home how can I overcome all these?

Rehan Alam Student Expert 26th May, 2020
Dear Aspirant,
You must follow these simple steps:-
1. Check out the syllabus and structure your preparation, made a plan on how you're going to cover the syllabus.
The best thing to help you in this is coaching material from some good institute. They have their material prepared according to the need of the Exam.
2. When the plan is ready, make a schedule. Remember timetable matters a lot for this one year. Be ready to give at least 6 hours per day for the preparation.
3. Solve the questions from question banks and previous year JEE papers.
4. Repeat these steps. Follow --> Learn --> practice.
5. Also keep on revising the stuff every third week. It is also a very crucial step in your preparation.

Apart from this you can use the Pomodoro technique of study and it is very effective in manitaining the pace. All you have to do is take 50 minute study round and 10 minute break round. Do not do anything except studying in the first 50 minutes and do anything you want in the last 10 minutes. My advice would be to just take a small walk across the house.

Apart from these you can also disable notifications in your phone and that would help you in decreasing the number of checking the updates.

Thank you.

88 percentile obtain jeemain january which college is available for cse btec

Shareef 26th May, 2020

If we calculate your rank with your percentile, it is approximately 104281. The formula is 100-your percentile*no.of candidates who wrote the exam/100. With this rank, it is difficult for a seat in NIT. You did not mention your Category. You should score atleast 95 percentile and more for NITs. So you should write July session. in jee mains 2020 i scored 82.64 will i get nit my category is sc

Manisha 26th May, 2020

Hello aspirant

Your expected all India rank with 82.64 percentile will be around 150860.136

As you belong to SC category you have qualified Jee main exam with this percentile. Whether you will get admission to NIT depends on cut off of the Institute. Cut of depends on number of candidates appeared and qualified in exam, difficulty level of exam and previous year's cut off. Cut off varies every year.

2019 cut off for jee main for SC category was 44+ percentile . Looking to this cut off  and your category  you have good chances of getting seat in NIT. You may try your luck in nit colleges given below

NIT Roourkela

NIT Calicut

NIT Jaipur

NIT Patna

maulana Azad  National Institute of Technology, Bhopal

NIT Durgapur
