Questions related to JEE Main

On Question asked by student community

Have a question related to JEE Main ?

Helle,

If you have only a state SEBC certificate and not a central OBC-NCL certificate, then you can’t claim OBC-NCL reservation in JEE. In that case, you should select the “General” category (or General-EWS, if you have a valid EWS certificate). To avail OBC-NCL benefits in JEE, you must get a central OBC-NCL certificate issued by the Government of India.

Hope you understand.

Hello,

A minor spelling difference like “Girisharadhya” and “Girisharadya” usually won’t cause major issues during JEE Main 2026 registration, but it’s better to correct it in either Aadhaar or marksheet to avoid problems during document verification or counselling. Keep an affidavit or gazette proof ready in case officials ask for clarification.

Hope you understand.

Hello,

After clearing JEE Main, your college information comes through JoSAA or CSAB counselling portals. You’ll need to register online, fill in your college and branch choices, and based on your rank, category, and seat availability; the allotment result will be displayed. You won’t get a personal message all updates are shown on the official JoSAA website.

Hope you understand.

Hello,

To get a Central Economically Weaker Section (EWS) certificate for JEE Mains, you must apply to the Tehsildar or Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) in Nizamabad through the Telangana MeeSeva Portal.  A Central EWS certificate, not a state one, is required for JEE Mains. You are ineligible for EWS if you already hold a Backward Class (BCE) certificate, as EWS is for general category candidates who are not covered under other reservations.

I hope it will clear your query!!
