Documents Required for Entry at the JEE Main 2026 Exam Hall: Candidates appearing for the JEE Main 2026 exam must carry the required documents for entry into the JEE Main exam hall. The list of documents required for entry at the JEE Main exam hall 2026 have been provided in this article. For the first shift of the JEE Main 2026 exam, entry at the exam centre will be permitted from 7:30 am to 8:30 am. For the second shift, candidates will be allowed to enter between 2 pm and 2:30 pm. The NTA states that no candidate will be permitted to enter the examination centre after the gate closing time.

The authority will allow only those JEE Main aspirants in the exam hall who carry the following along with their admit card. If the documents are not available, then they’ll be barred from entering the JEE Main exam hall.
JEE Main 2026 Admit card with a self-attested photograph and thumb impression. (Candidates have to sign in the presence of an invigilator).
Government-issued valid Photo ID like Aadhaar, PAN Card, Passport, Voter ID, etc.

Male Candidates appearing for the JEE Main exam must follow the JEE Main 2026 dress code as per the guidelines given by the authority.
Dupatta, scarf and any kind of stole is not allowed to be worn into the exam hall.
Caps, mufflers, and clothes over the head are not allowed to be worn.
Accessories like rings, bracelets, and goggles must be avoided
Jewellery is strictly prohibited in the exam hall.
Clothes with metallic items should not be worn, as it creates problems during the security checks.
Large buttons are not allowed
Shoes with thick soles are also not allowed into the exam hall.
Loose clothes will be comfortable for the candidates while writing the exam. Though jeans are allowed, it creates uncomfortable and tightness for the students.
Students appearing for the JEE Main 2026 exam must follow the rules mentioned below. These guidelines will help candidates in completing the exam without any problems.
Check the exam centre one day before the JEE Main exam to understand the route and travel time in order to avoid traffic and being late.
Candidates must reach the exam centre at least before one hour of the exam start time.
All the mandatory documents required to be carried, like the JEE Main admit card, a valid photo ID, passport size photograph, and a duly signed declaration issued by NTA.
Students must not engage in any type of malpractice.
Mobile phones, electronic devices, and study materials are not allowed into the exam hall.
