hi,
In OJEE 2025, the rank that will be considered is your CRL (Common Rank List) rank, not your category rank.
OJEE uses your overall JEE Main rank for seat allotment, even if you belong to OBC, SC, or ST categories. The category rank is just for your reference, but the counselling and seat selection will be done based on the CRL rank.
Hello,
Congratulations on your son's excellent Class 12th result. Yes, your son can still get admission to B.Tech in CSE in West Bengal, even if he didn’t appear for WBJEE. Many private engineering colleges in West Bengal accept JEE Main percentile, you can attend counselling with this percentile or you can take admission through their management quota. However, for top colleges or government seats, WBJEE or a higher JEE score is usually required.
Alternatively, if your son wants admission in better colleges or government institutes, he can take a drop year, prepare well, and appear for JEE Main and WBJEE next year.
All the best for your son’s future.

Hello Aspirant,
Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES) counseling typically considers the reserved category rank (SC rank) when providing the allotment of seats in that reserved category; for instance, SC reserved category candidates usually will be allotted a seat in the SC category based on their SC rank of 1,36,957, not their CRL (Common Rank List) rank. For example, for general/open category seats, the CRL rank will be considered. It is essential to upload valid category certificates. Please follow the instructions for counseling carefully.
