CSAB NEUT 2019 - National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli has released the spot round schedule of CSAB NEUT 2019. The authorities have announced the second provisional allotment of CSAB NUET 2019. The choice filling and locking process of CSAB NUET 2019 was open till July 17 and the registration process had concluded on July 6, 2019. CSAB NEUT 2019 counselling is for admission of JEE Main 2019 qualified candidates in the participating institutes falling under North Eastern States and Union Territories (NEUT). The allotment of candidates belonging to 12 North Eastern States & Union Territories (namely Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, Dadar & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep) is being done through CSAB NEUT 2019 on the basis of their JEE Main ranks. These states and UTs do not have the facility of engineering colleges/ polytechnics so the candidates are offered a few reserved seats in Government and Private Engineering & Technology institutes across various states of India. CSAB NEUT Eligibility Criteria 2019
To apply for admission through CSAB NEUT 2019, the candidates were required to meet some eligibility criteria. If the candidates are not able to satisfy the eligibility criteria, then they will be disqualified from the admission process:
Domicile - The candidates should belong to the 8 North Eastern States and 4 Union Territories - Assam, Arunachal Pradesh Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Dadar & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu and Lakshadweep.
JEE Main - It is essential for the candidates to have qualified JEE Main 2019 and should have also secured a valid rank.
Academic Requirements - The candidates should have qualified 12th standard examination. The marks secured in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, a language (if the candidate has taken more than one language, then the language with the higher marks will be considered) and any subject other than the above four (the subject with the higher marks will be considered) will be taken while preparing the aggregate.
Qualifying Marks - Atleast 45% (40% for SC/ST category candidates) marks should have been secured by the candidates in the qualifying examination or they should be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th standard examination conducted by the respective boards.
Eligibility Criteria for CSAB NEUT 2019 Spot Round
In the previous session, the authorities conducted a spot round where the candidates were required to have 45% aggregate marks in class 12th qualifying exam (40% for SC/ST) for B.Tech admission, while for admission to B.Arch/B.Plan, the candidates need to have 50% aggregate marks.
Procedure of CSAB NEUT 2019 Seat Allotment
The interested candidates had to fill the application form and be registered for the seat allotment process. Two rounds of seat allotment will be conducted and a spot round may be held if there are vacant seats left.
Step 1 - Registration: Firstly, the candidates had to register for CSAB NEUT 2019. To log into the account, the candidates had to use their JEE Main 2019 application number and password. The correct details had to be submitted by the candidates since it was compared with the date entered during JEE Main 2019 registration.
Step 2 - Choice Filling and Locking: The candidates were required to fill their choice of B.Tech branches and institutes as per their order of preference. As many options had to be selected by the candidates for higher chances of admission. Before locking the options, the candidates could edit and rearrange their choices. To confirm the locking, the candidates had to submit their password. In case the candidates were unable to lock their choices before the final date then the last saved options were locked. A print out of the locked choices had to be taken out by the authorities and produced at the reporting centre
Step 3 - Seat Allotment: Candidates are allotted seats as per their merit (JEE Main All India Rank) and preferred choices. The availability of seats is also another factor which is checked for allotment of seats. The allotment result of CSAB NEUT 2019 is announced in online mode. Individual allotment letters will not be sent to the candidates.
Step 4 - Reporting to Reporting Centres: Allotted candidates will have to take a print out of their seat allotment letter and report to their respective Home State/UT reporting centres. Along with the seat allotment letter, the candidates will also have to submit their original documents for verification and a demand draft of Rs. 3000 (counselling fee) drawn in favour of “NIT Tiruchirappalli CSAB-2019” for provisional admission. At the reporting centre, the candidates will have to exercise their choice of option from the below given:
Freezing - Candidates who are satisfied with their allotted seat will have to freeze their seat. After selecting the freezing option, the candidates will not be able to participate in the further round of counselling.
Sliding - Those candidates who are allotted but are still open for admissions into the higher preferred courses in the same institute during the later rounds of counselling will have to select this option.
Floating - This option has to be selected if the candidates want to be considered for admissions into the other institutes during the next round of counselling.
Important: Candidates who will choose Float and Slide options and get provisional admission letter will have to keep on tracking the CSAB NEUT portal online to check the status/Upgradation of their allotted seat after each round. In case they get a new allotment which is higher in their preference list, then they have to visit the Reporting Centre again with the original provisional admission letter issued earlier at the reporting centre and the new/latest seat allotment letter.

Category/subcategory/caste/sub-caste certificate (if applicable), issued by the competent authority
Persons with Disabilities (PwD) Certificate (if applicable) issued from a duly constituted Medical Board. The certificate should stand valid up to September 15, 2019.
Proof of place of examination center of the final examination from the National Open School for candidates having Senior Secondary Certificate (required for determining the 'State of eligibility')
One passport size photograph identical to the one pasted on the JEE Main 2019 application form
Provisional Allotment Letter
After completing the admission formalities, the candidates will be given their Provisional Admission Letter which will consist of the candidate and institute details along with the allotted branch, counselling fee and options exercised for the following rounds of allotment.
Reporting to Allotted Institute
Allotted candidates will have to report to their respective institutes to confirm their admission. If the candidates are not able to report within the allotted time, then they will be considered disqualified from the admission process.
CSAB NEUT 2019 Spot Round
If any seats are left after the completion of round 1 and 2, the authorities will conduct a spot round. Allotment of seats will be done as per the merit of the candidates. Details about the spot round have been announced by the respective Directorate of Technical Education (DTEs) of the states/UTs.
Combined choice filling for Engineering and Architecture
The candidates were also able to access the facility of combined choice filling for Engineering and Architecture. Eligible candidates for both Engineering and Architecture streams, will be allocated only one seat (the higher choice) from his/her choice list based on his/her merit. Candidates eligible for combined seat allocation (in both streams) had to register once and pay the counselling fee once if seat is allocated to them. They had to fill a single choice list in order of preference covering both Engineering and Architecture streams. Locking of choices before the scheduled date and time had to be done. In case candidates failed to lock their choices, their last saved choices were locked automatically after the deadline. Candidates were required to fill as many choices as possible.
