MHT CET Seat Allotment 2018 - DTE Maharashtra has released the result of provisional seat allotment of CAP Round-III in online mode. To check the allotment status, candidates need to log-in to their account by entering application Id and date of birth. Candidates who have been allotted seats will have to report to the ARC till July 22. Candidates cound do the online submission and confirm the options form of CAP Round-III through candidate’s Login till July 16. The vacant seat for CAP round-III was announced on July 13 in online mode. Earlier, MHT CET round-II seat allotment was announced by authorities on July 9. Candidates who have registered for MHT CET 2018 seat allotment process will be allotted seats according to their merit and preference of seats.

MHT CET 2018 seat allotment process is conducted online through Centralized Allotment Process (CAP). MHT CET 2018 Seat Allotment
The seat allotment of MHT CET 2018 was conducted in online mode. The registered candidates were allotted seats according to their performance in MHT CET 2018 examination and their submitted preference of seats. MHT CET 2018 seat allotment was conducted by DTE Maharashtra in three rounds and will be a Centralized Allotment Process (CAP). The availability of seats was checked while the seats are being allotted. Those candidates who secure higher ranks were allotted to their preferred seat. The allotment status was made available online.
Steps to Follow after MHT CET Seat Allotment 2018
After the seat allotment of MHT CET 2018 is announced, the given steps will have to be followed by those candidates who have been allotted seats.
Reporting at Admission Reporting Centre (ARC)
The allotted candidates will have to download their provisional allotment letter by logging into their account using their application ID and date of birth. The allotment letter will consist of the details regarding the candidate’s allotted institute. All of the selected candidates will have to report at their nearest Admission Reporting Centre (ARC) to confirm their allotment. The allotted candidates will also have to select their options for the further round of seat allotment. From the options of Freeze, Float and Slide, the candidates will have to select their choice.
Freeze: Those candidates who are satisfied with their allotted seats and do not want to participate in the further rounds of seat allotment process have to select this option. These candidates will have to confirm their allotted seats and will not be allowed to participate in the further seat allotment rounds.
Slide: This option can be selected by those candidates who wish to accept the seat allotted to them but will also be open for upgradation into a higher preferred course in the same institute. If these candidates are allotted in a higher preferred course during the next round, then their previous allotment will be cancelled.
Float: The allotted candidates who wish to upgrade to a higher preferred choice of course at any institute will have to select this option. Their earlier allotment will be cancelled if their choice of higher course is allotted to them.
Who will be Eligible for Round II and Round III of MHT CET 2018 Seat Allotment?
The following candidates will be eligible for the further rounds of the Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) of MHT CET 2018:
Those candidates who were not allotted any seats in the previous rounds or were not registered.
Candidates who rejected their allotted seat by not reporting to the Admission Reporting Centre (ARC).
Those candidates who accepted and cancelled their admission in the previous rounds.
The candidates who opted for Freeze in the previous rounds but wish to change it to Float or Slide will also be eligible for the following rounds.
Important Points of MHT CET Seat Allotment 2018 Round II and III
Those candidates who are allotted to a better seat in each round will have to change their option of “Freeze”, “Slide” or “Float” to ensure that their new allotment is confirmed. If this is not done then their earlier options will be carried forward.
The options of Slide and Float will not be available for those candidates who have been allotted their first selected preference of seat.
If a candidate is allotted into a higher preferred option, then their earlier allotted seat will be cancelled.
Those candidates who fail to report in time at the Admission Reporting Centres for acceptance of allotted seat will have to forfeit their seat. They will also not be allowed to participate in the further rounds of allotment unless they fill in the conduct of Round II and Round III.
Editing of choices will be allowed before the start of Round II and Round III if the candidates submit an application to the Admission Reporting Centre.
The options of slide and float will not be available for the final round of seat allotment.
Reporting to Allotted Institute
Finally, the selected candidates will have to report at their allotted institute to confirm their admission. All of the admission formalities have to be fulfilled and the remaining fees have to be paid.

MHT CET Counselling 2018
The seat allotment of MHT CET 2018 is a part of the counselling process. Before the allotment result is announced, the candidates had to fulfil some steps in the counselling process. The MHT CET 2018 candidates had to register for the counselling session by filling their personal, contact, academic and other required information. The counselling fee also had to be paid by the candidates in online mode. After being successfully registered, the candidates had to verify their documents at the Admission Reporting Centres (ARC). Only after verification of the documents, the candidates were able to fill and submit their choice of colleges and courses.
