MHT CET Seat Allotment 2019 - The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra has released the provisional allotment for Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) Round 3. Students can now check their allotment status by logging in to their candidate portal using their application ID and date of birth. Students who have been allotted a seat need to report to the ARC between August 3 and 9. The first and second round allotment was declared on July 10 and 20 respectively. Candidates who qualified the entrance examination are allowed to participate in counselling process. During the counselling of MHT CET 2019, candidates are required to fill their choices of college and branch. Candidates must download their seat allotment letter and take a print of it for all further rounds of the admission process. MHT CET 2019 seat allotment process is being conducted in 3 rounds. Department of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra conducted MHT CET 2019 entrance examination through Computer Based Test (CBT) mode on May 2 & 3 (PCM) for admission of candidates to undergraduate engineering programmes. The MHT CET result 2019 has been announced on June 4 in online mode. Students can download their score card by logging into MHT CET 2019 portal using their name, mobile number, roll number and password. MHT CET 2019 Seat Allotment
The authorities have released the seat allotment of MHT CET 2019 for all the three rounds in online mode through a centralized allotment process. Candidates are allotted seats based on their performance in MHT CET 2019 entrance examination and preferred choices. Higher the marks secured in entrance examination, more likely one will be offered seat. Seat are allotted to candidates on the basis of availability and preferred choices entered.

Steps to Follow after MHT CET Seat Allotment 2019

Candidates must follow the steps as mentioned below after the seats have been allotted to candidates.

Reporting at Admission Reporting Centre (ARC)

Candidates who have been allotted seats will have to download their provisional allotment letter by logging to respective account by using application ID and date of birth. MHT CET 2019 seat allotment letter will comprise of details regarding allotted institute. Candidates after downloading must get the print of allotment letter and report to their nearest Admission Reporting Centre (ARC) to confirm their allotment where candidates will have to choose options for further rounds of seat allotment. Candidates allotted the seat will have to select whether they wish to freeze, float or slide their allotted seats.

  • Freeze: Candidates who are satisfied with the allotted seats and do not wish to participate in any further rounds of counselling will have to select “Freeze” option. This means that candidates want to stay with the allotted seat.

  • Slide: Candidates who wish to accept the allotted seat but also is open for upgradation to higher preferred course in the same institute must select option “Slide”. If candidates are allotted higher preferred course, the previous allotted seat will be cancelled.

  • Float: Candidates who have been allotted a seat in previous seat allotment rounds and now wish to upgrade to any course at any institute will have to select option “Float”. If candidates are upgraded to another course or institute, the previously allotted seat will be cancelled.

Reporting to Allotted Institute

The candidates who have been allotted seats will have to report to allotted institute to confirm their allotted seat. Candidates will have to get their documents verified and pay the remaining fees.

MHT CET Counselling 2019
Candidates who have successfully qualified in MHT CET 2019 entrance examination can participate in counselling of MHT CET 2019. Candidates participating in counselling process are offered seats on the basis of marks secured by the candidate in the entrance examination. Candidates had to register to participate in MHT CET 2019 counselling process by entering their personal, contact, academic details and other necessary information required in process followed by payment of registration fee. After successful registration, candidate had to report to allotted centres for document verification process after which only seats are allotted to candidates.

Options are there but far less as compared to Maharashtra Students.

The usual allocations of seats for any non govt aided (non minority) college is as follows

65 % Maharashtra State candidates

15 % all India (excluding Maharashtra) candidates.

20% Institute level allocation (management quota).

This type 2 i.e. all India level seats can be secured by appearing for JEE mains.

If one wants to opt for govt/govt aided colleges, then CET is the only option.


how many marks I obtained in mhtcet to take admission in coep for cs branch

Hello Sanket, COEP is the best college in maharashtra for engineering and is one of the oldest and the best colleges for engineering. You would need to bring something around 115 rank in MHTCET order to get admission in the CS branch. Though the cutoff in 2018 was 119 rank for CS, but still the cutoff changes every year and it is very competitive in case of COEP.
