Here is a detailed analysis of the JEE Main previous year analysis:

JEE Main previous year analysis for Mathematics Section

  1. Calculus:

    • Differentiation and Integration: Calculus continued to dominate the Mathematics section in 2024. Questions on differentiation (maxima and minima, tangents, rate of change) and integration (definite integrals, areas under curves) were commonly asked. In addition, application-based questions from topics like differential equations were seen.

    • Definite Integrals and Area under Curves: These topics were frequently tested, especially in Application of Integrals questions, where candidates had to find the area between curves.

  2. Algebra:

    • Quadratic Equations: Quadratic equations with real and complex roots, discriminants, and their geometric interpretation were featured.

    • Progressions: Questions on Arithmetic Progressions (AP) and Geometric Progressions (GP), particularly related to sum formulas and properties, were commonly found.

    • Matrices and Determinants: Problems involving matrix operations, inverse of matrices, and determinants were regularly included.

  3. Coordinate Geometry:

    • Circles, Ellipses, and Hyperbolas: These topics were tested with a mix of direct and application-based questions. Questions typically required the use of equations of conics and related geometrical properties (e.g., tangents, distance from point to conic).

    • Straight Lines and Parabolas: In addition to conics, questions based on the properties of parabolas and straight lines (e.g., slope, equation, distance between points) were present.

  4. Vectors and 3D Geometry:

    • Topics like vectors, dot and cross products, and 3D geometry questions involving the equation of planes, lines, and distance from a point to a plane were asked in 2024.

JEE Mains analysis for Physics Section Previous year

  1. Mechanics (35% contribution):

    • Laws of Motion: Questions on Newton’s Laws, friction, and motion on inclined planes were common in 2024.

    • Work and Energy: The work-energy theorem, conservation of energy, and problems involving kinetic and potential energy were regularly tested.

  1. Electromagnetism:

    • Electrostatics: Coulomb's Law, electric fields, and Gauss’s Law were featured. Problems related to capacitance, dielectrics, and potential energy were also tested.

    • Magnetic Effects of Current: Problems on magnetic fields due to currents, Ampere’s Law, and magnetic force on moving charges were present.

    • Electromagnetic Induction: Faraday’s Law and Lenz’s Law, along with self and mutual inductance, were regularly tested.

  2. Modern Physics:

    • Questions on atomic structure, photoelectric effect, and nuclear physics were prominent in 2024. Problems focused on Bohr’s model of the atom, half-life, and nuclear decay.

    • The dual nature of matter and de Broglie’s hypothesis also appeared in a few questions.

  3. Thermodynamics:

    • Laws of Thermodynamics, heat transfer, and the Carnot engine were the focus. Problems with entropy, internal energy, and specific heat were tested.

JEE previous year analysis for Chemistry Section

  1. Organic Chemistry:

    • Reaction Mechanisms: Organic chemistry dominated the Chemistry section with a strong emphasis on reaction mechanisms. Topics like SN1/SN2 reactions, electrophilic and nucleophilic substitution reactions, and aromatic substitution were prevalent.

    • Hydrocarbons and Alcohols: These topics were tested through reactions, naming reactions, and properties of different functional groups.

    • Aromatic Compounds: Reactions and mechanisms involving benzene derivatives and their electrophilic substitution were commonly tested.

  1. Physical Chemistry:

    • Electrochemistry: The section focused on Gibbs Free Energy and its applications were tested frequently, Nernst equation and all.

    • Chemical Kinetics: Questions on rate laws, order of reactions, and Arrhenius equations were common.

    • Equilibrium: Le Chatelier’s Principle, equilibrium constant (K), and questions on concentration and temperature effects on equilibrium were featured.

Hello,

JEE Main ke 75% eligibility ke liye marks calculation board ke total marks (as printed on marksheet) par based hoti hai, best of 5 nahi.
Agar aapke marksheet me total 355/500 likha hai, to wahi valid mana jayega.
Isliye agar ye 75% se kam hai, to aap JEE Main de sakte ho, par NIT, IIIT, ya GFTI admission ke liye eligible nahi hoge, unless aap SC/ST category se ho (unke liye 65% required hai).

Hope you understand.
