JEE Main Reporting Time 2026 - NTA has released the details of JEE Main 2026 reporting time on the website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. As per the JEE Main notification, the reporting time for the shift 1 JEE Main 2026 exam is 7:00 AM, and that of shift 2 is 1:00 PM. The JEE Mains exam will commence at 9 AM (shift 1) and 3 PM (shift 2). These rules ensure that there is enough time to conduct the checking and frisking processes and ensure candidates are seated before the commencement of the exam. Therefore, the JEE reporting time is set ahead of the scheduled start of the JEE Mains 2026 exam. The authority will conduct the session 1 exam on January 21, 22, 23, 24, 28 and 29, 2026.
Candidates will have to use their valid application number and password to access the JEE Mains 2026 admit card. The testing agency will conduct the JEE Main 2026 session 1 exams from January 21 to 30.

No candidate will be allowed to enter the JEE exam centre after the reporting time. Candidates can check the shift-wise reporting time for JEE Mains 2026 in this article. Following the JEE Main reporting time 2026 will ensure a stress-free and hassle-free exam experience.
The National Testing Agency will conduct the JEE Mains 2026 exam in two shifts for BTech. The BArch and Plan exam will be held in the first shift only. The JEE Main exam duration is 3 hours for a single paper, Paper 1 (B.E/ B.Tech.) Or Paper 2A (B.Arch.) Or Paper 2B (B.Planning). In case a candidate appears for both papers 2A and 2B, then he/she will get 3 hours 30 minutes to complete the exam. Irrespective of the duration, the reporting time for both papers 1 and 2 remains the same. The JEE Main reporting time is different for each shift of the JEE Mains exam. Candidates can check the JEE Main 2026 reporting time shift-wise from the following tables.

Candidates must arrive at the JEE Main exam centre at least one hour before the exam.
No student can enter the venue after the gate closing time, and cannot leave the exam centre premises before the test concludes.
Examinees wearing any special attire due to religious reasons are advised to reach the exam centres earlier to undergo thorough checking and mandatory frisking.
The candidate must carry the admit card of JEE Main 2026, a photograph and a valid ID proof to the exam hall.
Duly fill out the self-declaration form, paste the passport-sized photograph, and put the left-hand thumb impression in the space provided, before reaching the JEE Main exam centre.
Students must follow the JEE Main rules and regulations 2026 strictly as instructed by the centre superintendent/invigilators.
A pen/pencil and blank paper for rough work will be provided in the examination hall.
Students need to enter the required details in the attendance sheet, put their signatures, and paste photographs at the designated place.
Candidates claiming PwD reservations must carry a PwD certificate and ID proof for the JEE Main exam issued by the competent authority to the exam centre.

PwD/PwBD candidates will be given a compensatory time of 20 minutes for every one hour of the examination.
After the completion of the examination duration, the test will terminate automatically.
Candidates will not be allowed to leave the examination hall until the completion of the exam.
