A saying attributed to the ancient Chinese philosopher Confucius goes like this: “The man who asks a question is a fool for a minute, the man who does not ask is a fool for life.” If you are having doubts, it means you are making efforts to learn something new. We can understand the importance of doubts and their timely resolution by looking at an example. Suppose there is a wooden stick. You can break it easily. Now if we make a bundle of sticks and try to break them together, then it would be very difficult to break the bundle. In a similar way, doubts become very difficult when they pile up. Asking doubts or questioning is the basis of understanding, mastering, learning, and knowledge creation. Science starts with asking questions and seeking the answers.

Sometimes, when the teacher is teaching a concept, you may not understand it. This can happen because you did not ask the right question due to fear. But there is nothing to regret about asking a question because questions are asked in the exams based on the same concept that you did not understand. So, it is good to clear your doubts early.

Exams like JEE Main, JEE Advanced, NEET, etc have negative marking when you answer the questions wrongly. That is one of the major reasons why so many students are not able to obtain good marks. During exams, we get confused because we don't have clarity about the concepts or we have doubts. If we have discussed our doubts in class, then we can answer the questions correctly. We can save ourselves from silly mistakes and decrease negative markings by asking the right questions and clearing doubts in the class.
Some students like Math, while others like Social Science or Science. An important advantage of building interest in a particular subject is that you are getting clarity in that subject. In other words, you are clear about your doubts and have a good grasp on concepts so that you are able to solve questions. The habit of asking doubts attracts the focus of the teacher and creates a fear within you that the teacher can ask you questions, and to prove yourself in front of the class, you start investing time in that subject, and it develops a circular loop. You end up with an interest in that subject.
Sometimes you are asking and discussing it. That helps broaden the horizon of your concepts, knowledge base, and logic. There are multiple methods to solve a question. For a particular case, one method is easy but it can be difficult for other cases. When you ask your doubts, teachers try to explain comprehensively using different ways that broaden your understanding. You also think again and try to find all the possible variations in the question and create their own database, concepts and tricks that broaden your horizon.
Asking questions or doubts is the central point of knowledge creation and learning. If you want to answer a doubt, then first you require a good understanding and mastery of the subject and related concepts. It requires a lot of practice and hard work to master the subject.
Questions are fuels for innovations, scientific knowledge, and creativity. We are aware of the story of Newton, he was sitting under an apple tree. An apple was falling down when he asked himself why it was falling downward then after he proposed the universal law of gravity. That is the power of asking questions or having doubts. Asking questions increases your creative and scientific thinking. This also facilitates your analysis and diagnosis of your knowledge base.
You can observe big personalities like businessmen, entrepreneurs, politicians, IAS officers, etc. who are good at interacting with people, asking good quality questions or doubts, and can express themself on stage and in front of thousands of people very confidently. Sometimes people judge you on the basis of your doubts. This habit of asking good questions and having doubts helps you develop these interpersonal skills. If you want to be like them, you must have these qualities.
It is important to support students when they voice their doubts. Instead, the goal should be to save time and obtain more insightful responses to your questions. When an expert or teacher answers questions, it goes beyond simply answering questions. The student receives several added values, such as learning multiple ways to solve a problem, memorisation techniques, shortcuts, and suggestions for better reference material, which can save time. It can also be helpful while giving exams, as students have time limits for the exam.
Your concepts gradually become clearer if you continue to ask questions and get your doubts cleared from the beginning. And without wasting time learning the underlying principles, you will be prepared to grasp a complex concept.
Our confidence increases when we have a good grasp on concepts. After asking doubts, you become more clear about concepts and logic because your mind becomes more focused. This makes the concepts last long time in your memory. When similar questions come to you again, you will be confident and able to solve them very easily. This is because you are asking questions and answering correctly in class, which makes you fearless. That helps to build a good image among the students and in the class.
There are other students who also face the same difficulties in grasp the concepts; they also have doubts but do not ask due to peer pressure, hesitations or fear. Your habit of asking doubts helps other students understand the concepts, develop an interest in the subject, obtain good marks, develop interpersonal skills, decrease negative marking, and make others confident.
In the present competitive world, you have to compete during board exams, entrance exams like JEE Main and Advanced, NEET, and other exams. To crack these exams, you should remove every doubt at the earliest possible time because it becomes very difficult to clear them when they pile up and can be a disaster for you.

Preparing for the JEE Main in just 30 days is a challenging but achievable task if you follow a highly disciplined and strategic approach. According to the Careers360 30-day study plan , the key is to shift your focus from learning everything to mastering high-weightage topics and practicing rigorously.
During the first 15 days, prioritize topics that frequently appear in the exam.
Physics: Modern Physics, Heat & Thermodynamics, Optics, and Current Electricity.
Chemistry: GOC (General Organic Chemistry), Chemical Bonding, p-Block elements, and Solutions.
Maths: Matrices & Determinants, Sequences & Series, Coordinate Geometry, and Vector & 3D Geometry.
Study Strategy: Use NCERT for Chemistry and simplified notes for Physics/Maths. Spend 3-4 hours on each subject daily.
Short Notes: Go through the short notes you made during the first two weeks.
Flashcards: Use flashcards for inorganic chemistry reactions and physics formulas.
Mock Tests: Start giving one full-length mock test every alternate day. Analyze your mistakes immediately to avoid repeating them.
Previous Year Papers (PYQs): Solve the last 3-5 years of JEE Main papers in the actual exam time slot (9 AM–12 PM or 3 PM–6 PM) to sync your body clock.
No New Topics: Stop picking up new chapters. Focus solely on what you already know to build confidence.
Accuracy over Speed: Focus on getting the questions right rather than attempting all of them, as negative marking can significantly lower your percentile.

Hello
I think your question sounds like this: "Can a candidate who passed Class 12 in 2025 and filled JEE Main Session 1 apply for Session 2 as 'Appearing' in 2026 as a fresh board candidate, and will both sessions have the same details? "
So yes, you can fill the JEE Main Session 2 as "Appearing". The information filled in Session 1 will remain exactly as it was and will not change.
Session 1 and Session 2 are treated as separate applications. There is no issue if the qualifying status is different in both sessions. During counselling, the board marks that meet the 75 rule will be considered.
Hello,
If you filled the JEE Main January form with Class 12 passed in 2025 and are planning to appear again for the Class 12 exam through HOS, there is usually no serious issue. You were eligible to apply since you had already passed Class 12. Reappearing through HOS for improvement or requalification is allowed, provided HOS is a recognized board. During counselling, your latest valid Class 12 result will be considered. Make sure you meet the 75% marks or top 20 percentile requirement where applicable. If a correction window opens, update details if needed.
Hope this has solved your query. Thank You.
Good Evening,
Yes, you are eligible for both JEE Mains and Advanced, as you completed your 12th with physics, chemistry and biology. Moreover, you passed mathematics in 2025, which makes you fit the eligibility criteria of both exams.
