    How to Choose Your Exam Centre?

    Before selecting or confirming the exam city, students must consider the following points:

    • While the student is physically in India at the time of the exam, they must choose the Indian centre.
    • A student cannot attend from abroad if they are staying in India.
    • If the student is outside India, they may choose one of the listed international centres or opt for remote‐proctored exams
    • In case a city is not listed, the student should contact the support team through email for the inclusion of a centre, though there will be no guarantee that it will be added.
    • Availability of multiple centres may depend on the number of students registered in that city and partner-centre availability.
    • For students who are attending exams from overseas, an additional exam facilitation fee may apply.

    Can Students Change The Exam Centre?

    Students who enrolled in the IIT Madras BS in Data Science and Applications Programme are allowed to request a specific examination centre up to a particular time before the exams. This option is enabled on the student dashboard during the registration period.

    However, the change in exam centre depends on the seat availability and logistical feasibility at the requested centre. Once the hall ticket is generated, no further modification can be done. Therefore, students are advised to double check their travel plans and locations before finalising the examination centre.

    For overseas students, change in the exam location may involve additional coordinations and fees. It is advisable to contact the IIM Madras student support well in advance via official mail communication or other modes that are given.
