IIT Admission Through FACE, SEA, and SCOPE Quota 2026: The IIT admission through FACE, SEA, and SCOPE 20226 will conclude on June 5, 2026. Along with qualifying in JEE Advanced, candidates can now seek admission through Fine Arts and Culture Excellence (FACE), Sports Excellence Admission (SEA), and Science Olympiad Excellence Admission (SCOPE). For the 2026-27 academic session, several IITs are participating in these special admission schemes. The registration for the admission process started on May 6, 2026, through the official portals of the separate modes. The institute has its detailed eligibility criteria, application guidelines and programme structures. What is FACE Admission?
FACE (Fine Arts and Culture Excellence) is created for students who have shown outstanding achievements in fine arts, music, dance, theatre, literature, visual arts, and other cultural activities. Those who qualify for JEE Advanced 2026 and obtained a rank in CRL.

FACE 2026 Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for admission under the FACE 2026 (Fine Arts and Culture Excellence) quota at IIT Madras and Mandi, candidates must have successfully qualified for these two criteria. Only candidates meeting both the academic requirement of JEE Advanced qualification and the prescribed Fine Arts and Culture achievement criteria will be considered for admission under the FACE quota.
JEE Advanced 2026 and have notable achievements in one or more approved Fine Arts and Culture disciplines.
Applicants are required to submit valid documentary evidence of their accomplishments, which must fall under any of the recognised categories, namely, Once-in-a-Lifetime Achievement, Category A Achievement, or Category B Achievement.

What is SEA Admission?
SEA (Sports Excellence Admission) is a special way for students who have done well in sports at the national or international level to get admission. It helps talented athletes study engineering or science at IITs while still playing their sport.

To apply for SEA 2026, candidates must be Indian nationals (or eligible OCI/PIO candidates), qualify for JEE Advanced 2026 with a valid rank, and meet the IIT Class 12 eligibility requirements. Applicants must also have at least one recognised sports achievement at the national or international level during the last four years. Candidates who have previously taken admission in any IIT are not eligible to apply under the SEA quota.

SCOPE 2026 Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for SCOPE Admission 2026:
Candidates must be Indian nationals or eligible OCI/PIO candidates.
They should be born on or after October 1, 2001 (October 1, 1996, for SC/ST/PwD candidates).
They must have appeared for Class 12 for the first time in 2025 or 2026 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and secured at least 75% marks (65% for SC/ST/PwD candidates) or be in the top 20 percentile of their respective board.
