Yes, it is possible for candidates who have done BSC PCM to do Btech afterwards. This is possible by applying through the BTech lateral entry channel. The AICTE has given BSc students the provision to directly enrol into the second year of Engineering courses. This is now allowed as candidates have already learnt the basics of the relevant disciplines in the Bsc courses, hence they possess basic technical knowledge. Candidates can learn about the various aspects that need to be kept in mind while doing Btech after BSc 2025.

The BTech after BSc course duration is only 3 years. Thus, it is advantageous for candidates as they do not have to start their BTech course from the first year.
While applying for BTech after completing BSc, candidates must fulfil the BTech after BSc eligibility criteria to successfully gain admission through lateral entry. While there are some common eligibility criteria, some institutes might have their own rules for the Lateral entry admission. The most common eligibility criteria are specified below.
Candidates must have graduated from BSc with a minimum percentage of 45% to apply for admission to BTech Lateral entry.
Valid BSc certificate in relevant courses such as IT or CS, The candidate should also have studied Mathematics during BSc to be eligible for lateral entry.
The BTech after BSc fees will usually depend on the institute that the candidate is choosing. However, the fees for BTech lateral entry will be less than that of regular BTech courses.
