UPES Scholarship for BTech 2026

The insitute offers three different scholarships called Jyoti, Shakti and Vijay Schemes. Students who clear class 12th from CBSE, ICSE and State Boards and have obtained no less than 80 percent in both Class 10 and Class 12 are allowed to apply to the scholarship-cum-eligibility test program. UPES BTech Scholarship– Based on Board Merit/ JEE/ CUET Score

Candidates who have applied for admission for UG courses except Global Pathway Program (GPP) and have taken the class 12th CBSE board/ ICSE board or any state board exam will be eligible to avail this Scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded up to 30% (tuition fees only) and awarded only if acceptance fees are deposited within timelines (mentioned in the offer letter).

UPES Scholarship Criteria for BTech Students

Candidates can check the UPES Scholarship for B.Tech eligibility criteria given below.

• The scholarship is applicable to students applying for Undergraduate (UG) programs (excluding Global Pathway Program).

• They must have completed 12th grade from CBSE, ICSE, or any state board (mentioned under "COBSE").

• The scholarship shall be applicable only to the first-year tuition fee, provided the offer acceptance fee is deposited within the given timeline (as mentioned in the admission offer letter).

• The total number of seats is up to 3,000 and will be awarded based on merit.

• This scholarship is only available for students enrolled in regular UG programs (not in Global Pathways Program): If a student initially enrolls in a regular UG program and later transfers to GPP, the scholarship will be revoked. The transfer will only be permitted upon repayment of the scholarship amount awarded at the time of admission. Students who initially enroll in GPP and later shift to a regular program will not be eligible for a scholarship based on Board Merit/ JEE/ CUET scores. Only one scholarship/concession is allowed per student per semester/year. If eligible for multiple scholarships, the highest applicable scholarship will be granted not both including Domicile scholarship (as mandated by regulation).

• 25 seats are reserved for the wards of Armed Forces, including Paramilitary personnel (both serving and retired).

• Provide Personal Information and choose course under UG/PG

• The candidate will receive an OTP on the provided phone number

• Use the OTP to complete the register

UPES Scholarship for BTech - Renewal Criteria

Continuation of the scholarship in subsequent semesters will be as per the university policy which may differ on a semester/year basis. However, it will be subject to meeting of minimum eligibility criteria below:

• Minimum SGPA of 7.5 in each semester.

• Passed every semester on the first attempt without any supplementary or improvement exam.

• Maintenance of 75% attendance in the entire semester in all subjects and cumulative. The scholarship will only be awarded till the pre-final semester.

• No disciplinary action was initiated/sanctioned against the student under the student handbook or in compliance with norms as prescribed by the University.

• Compliance with all other norms as prescribed by the University from time to time.

• If a student fails to score a minimum of 7.5 SGPA in any semester, the scholarship will be discontinued and can only be renewed in the next semester subject to the student meeting the eligibility criteria.

• No acts or omissions that result in unlawful behaviour, with malicious intention maligning the University brand in digital, print, or social media, promoting, supporting or sharing any content which is against the University brand.

• As a post-first year, scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic grades and attendance therefore all such scholarships shall be awarded post-declaration of results of each semester.

• For example, a scholarship for the 3rd Semester, if eligible, shall be reflected in the fee invoice for 4th semester and so on.

• As a result, students will have to pay full fees for the 3rd semester, and the benefit of the scholarship will reflect from the 4th Semester onwards.

• The scholarship will be awarded in the form of a Fee Concession, Fee Discount, or Fee Waiver on tuition fees only.

Based on previous year report, the total number of scholarships available were up to 2335 (out of these, all girl students who score more than 60% in class 12th got scholarships).
