    MHT CET 2026 PCM Exam Overview

    Knowing the basic details of the MHT CET is the first step to good preparation. The exam is conducted as a computer-based test and includes MCQ-type questions only. The exam tests students’ understanding of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics for the B.Tech programme.

    Students’ reaction to the MHT CET PCM Question Paper

    This section has been updated with real-time student reactions from the April 11 Shift 1 exam. As per student feedback, the overall paper was moderate but lengthy. Mathematics was the most time-consuming section, while Physics was moderate with formula-based and numerical questions. Chemistry was the easiest, featuring direct, one-line questions largely based on NCERT. Some questions were based on previous year concepts, which benefited students who had practiced PYQs and mock tests.

    MHT-CET is a computer based test conducted only at allotted exam centers, not from home or personal PCs, Students from outside Maharashtra can appear for the exam at selected centres during application. Non-Maharashtra candidates usually can't claim state quota seats through CAP and often use JEE Main scores instead.

    As per the MHT CET syllabus 2024 with weightage PCM and PCB prescribed by the Maharashtra CET Cell, 20 percent weightage is given to the Class 11 topics and the remaining 80 percent to the Class 12  topics of the Maharashtra board.
