Two versions of the answer key will be made available here. The first is the memory-based unofficial key, which goes up shortly after the exam. The second is the official MHT CET 2026 answer key released by the Maharashtra State CET Cell on cetcell.mahacet.org. The unofficial key lets you get a score estimate on the same day without having to wait. Once the official key is out, students who disagree with any answer can file an objection through the official portal. Objections are reviewed, and if found valid, the final key is updated accordingly before results are declared.
Once you have the 15 May CET question paper answer key in hand, here is how you calculate your score:
Download the unofficial answer key uploaded on this page
Go through each question and check if your answer matches the key
Every correct answer gets you +2 marks in the mathematics section and +1 mark for the physics and chemistry sections.
Skipped or wrong answers get 0—no marks are cut, as there is no negative marking in the MHT CET exam.
Add up all the correct answers and use the formula given below to calculate your total score:
Total Marks = (Total no. of correct answer * 2 (for mathematics)) + (Total no. of correct answers * 1 (for physics and chemistry))

It is good to know about the exam pattern before you sit for the exam. A few things worth knowing about the MHT CET exam: the 180-minute duration is split into two back-to-back sections, and you cannot move between them freely. Physics and Chemistry come first, followed by Mathematics. The system automatically closes Part 1 when 90 minutes are done. You get a fresh 90 minutes for math right after. Rough sheets are provided at the centre—use them, and remember to hand them back before you leave.
