KIET Group of Institutions proudly celebrates the exceptional achievement of Akshat Sharma (student of CSE AI branch; batch 2021-25), who has secured an impressive 60 LPA package at SOON Network, marking a milestone for the institution and a source of inspiration for fellow students.
Reflecting on his journey, Akshat expressed heartfelt gratitude toward his mentors and the holistic learning environment provided by the institute. He shared how pivotal moments, such as attending the Solana Hacker House event in 2022 during his second year, shaped his career trajectory. He shared that Dr. Rekha Kashyap, Dean of CSE AI and AI&ML, introduced him to the dynamic world of blockchain ecosystems, setting the foundation for his professional growth.
“Balancing studies and development was not easy, but Rekha Ma’am stood by me, ensuring I could maintain my academic commitments while pursuing industry connections. This balance was the key to my success,” Akshat added further.
He also highlighted the instrumental role of the institute’s management, Director General, Dr. Preeti Bajaj and Joint Director, Dr. Manoj Goel, in fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. With their support, he co-founded “FOSS Community United (FOSSCU)”, a platform dedicated to empowering students with hands-on learning experiences. FOSSCU has since been a launchpad for numerous students, helping them secure internships, placements, and international exposure.
“My journey would not have been the same without the dedicated workspace and permissions provided by the college. It was a space to work, learn, and innovate freely,” said Akshat while showing gratitude towards the institute.
He also advised his fellow mates and juniors to leverage the wealth of free educational resources available online, such as MIT OpenCourseWare and Harvard's CS50, rather than relying solely on influencer-driven content. “Use the internet wisely—it’s a treasure trove of knowledge,” he emphasized.
All the dignitaries of the institute expressed their heartiest congratulations to Akshat Sharma on securing the KIET Group of Institutions placement at SOON Network. Dr. Preeti Bajaj, Director General-KIET shared, “The hard work, dedication, and perseverance of Akshat have truly paid off. This is a remarkable milestone in his journey, and we wish all the best for a bright and prosperous career ahead.”
This achievement underscores KIET’s commitment to nurturing talent, promoting industry exposure, and supporting student-led initiatives that prepare students for global opportunities. Akshat Sharma’s success story is a testament to the power of mentorship, self-driven learning, and a supportive ecosystem. His journey inspires students to dream big and work diligently toward their goals.

On Question asked by student community
Dear student,
Yes, you can use your EWS category rank for admission to KIET Ghaziabad through UPTAC counselling , as seats are allotted based on category ranks for reserved candidates.
Now, about your chances:
With an
EWS rank of 1,30,638
, getting
ECE at KIET
is
highly unlikely
. In recent years, the
closing EWS rank for ECE
at KIET has been around
35,000 to 40,000
. If you’ve seen a closing rank like
347,725
, that might actually be the
CRL
, not the EWS rank. Category cutoffs are always much lower.
KIET Ghaziabad and JIIT Noida are both good private engineering colleges. But JIIT Noida is a little better in terms of placements, especially for Computer Science and IT branches.
JIIT Noida gets more big companies like Amazon, Adobe, and other product-based companies. The average package in JIIT for CSE is around 7 to 8 lakh rupees per year. Some students also get very high packages above 20 lakh. KIET also has good placements, but the average package is slightly lower, around 5 to 6 lakh per year.
The campus of JIIT Noida is modern and clean. KIET has a bigger campus and more hostel space. JIIT is stricter in academics. KIET follows AKTU university syllabus.
So if you want better job placements, JIIT Noida is slightly better. If you want a bigger campus with good facilities and lower fees, then KIET is also a good choice.

Choosing between computer science engineering (cse) at JSS, AKG Or kIET depends upon several factors:
JSS academy of technical education: known for good academic performance and infrastructure and have decent placement records. Average package around rupees 4-6 LPA with companies like TCS, wipro etc. Active campus life with various clubs and activities.
Ajay kumar garg engineering college : praised for its faculty and academic rigor . Strong placement records and industry connection. Average package around rupees 4-5 LPA with companies like Amazon, infosys etc. Excellent infrastructure with modern labs and libraries. Vibrant campus life.
Krishna institute of engineering and technology: consistently ranked among the top private engineering colleges. Average package around rupees 5-6 LPA , with top recruiters including Microsoft, IBM etc. State of the art infrastructure with all student facilities. Dynamic campus environment with a range of activities.
In my opinion KIET is better because it has a very strong alumni network. But you should take your decision considering other points that I mentioned above as well.
