KIET Deemed to be University conferred degrees upon 3,821 graduating students of the 2025 and 2026 batches of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow, during its Annual Convocation 2026 held on Saturday at the university campus. The ceremony began with the academic procession, followed by AKTU Kulgeet and formal welcome of the dignitaries by Dr. Adesh Kumar Pandey, Director Academics, KIET University.
The Convocation was graced by Shri Atul Garg, Chancellor, KIET University and Member of Parliament from Ghaziabad; Prof. Nagaraj Ramrao, Vice Chancellor, KIET University; Dr. Manoj Goel, Pro Vice Chancellor, KIET University; and Prof. Virendra Pathak, Director, Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), Lucknow, who attended the ceremony as the representative of the Vice Chancellor of AKTU. Members of the Governing Board of KIET Group of Institutions, including Shri Sunil P. Gupta, Shri G.D. Jain, Shri A.N. Gupta, Shri Neeraj Chaudhary, and Shri Rakesh Goel, were also present on the occasion.
Presenting the University's Annual Report, Prof. Nagaraj Ramrao reflected on KIET's transformation from a private engineering college into a multidisciplinary deemed-to-be university driven by academic excellence, innovation, research, entrepreneurship and global engagement. He informed that this year 3,821 students are graduating from B.Tech, B.Pharm, MBA, MCA, M.Pharm and M.Tech programmes.

Highlighting the University's recent achievements, he said, “KIET has adopted an industry-aligned curriculum supported by more than ten Centres of Excellence and strategic collaborations with leading organisations including IBM, L&T, SAP, and EY India. As part of our growing internationalization efforts, KIET has hosted 12 international interns from Nepal, Egypt, Tunisia, Turkey, Jordan, and Russia over the past two years. These initiatives not only enriched the learning experience of the visiting students but also strengthened KIET's global academic footprint and fostered meaningful cross-cultural collaboration.”
Prof. Ramrao further informed that KIET faculty members have published 1,356 research papers during the last two years. He added that 7 faculty members were honoured with the C.V. Raman Award, 12 faculty members received the Young Dronacharya Award, while 27 faculty members were recognised with Long Service Awards for their sustained contribution to the institution.

Speaking about student achievements, he noted that KIET recorded a highest international placement package of Rs 1.78 crore, while the graduating students of 2025 and 2026, collectively received 4600 placement offers from 350+ reputed organisations including Microsoft, Deloitte, Capgemini, TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra and several other leading recruiters. He also highlighted the growing impact of Technology Business Incubator (TBI-KIET) in promoting innovation and entrepreneurship through incubation, mentoring and funding support for aspiring startups.
A major highlight of the ceremony was the felicitation of University medalists and rank holders. Gold, silver and bronze medalists received Rs. 50,000, Rs. 40,000, and Rs. 30,000, respectively, while university rank holders were awarded Rs. 20,000 in recognition of their academic excellence.
Delivering the Convocation Address, Prof. Virendra Pathak, Director IET, Lucknow congratulated the graduates and urged them to uphold values of honesty, integrity and perseverance throughout their lives. “A degree opens doors, but your values determine how far you will go. Never compromise on integrity. Face every challenge with courage, continue to learn throughout your life and use your knowledge to improve the lives of others.”, said Prof. Virendra Pathak.
Congratulating the graduates, Shri Sunil P. Gupta, Member, Governing Board, KIET Group of Institutions, said, “Your success today is the result of years of dedication and hard work. As you step into your professional careers, remain grounded, continue striving for excellence and remember that the greatest achievements are those that contribute to society and inspire others.”
The ceremony concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Vineet Sharma, Dean CSE, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, members of the Governing Board, faculty, and students for their presence. He conveyed special appreciation to Prof. Virendra Pathak for graciously conferring the degrees upon the graduating students and blessing them on this significant milestone.
