KIET Deemed to be University successfully conducted another enriching day of its 21-day Freshman Induction Program (FIP)-2026, reaffirming its commitment to nurturing future-ready engineers through academic excellence, value-based education, industry engagement, leadership development, and experiential learning.
A major highlight of the day was the KIET Knowledge Series, which featured distinguished public leaders Shri Tejasvi Surya, Hon'ble Member of Parliament from Bengaluru South and National President of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), Capt. Brijesh Chowta, Hon'ble Member of Parliament from Karnataka and Shri Atul Garg, Hon'ble Member of Parliament, Ghaziabad and Chancellor – KIET Deemed to be University. The event was graced by the presence of Prof. Nagaraj Ramrao, Vice–Chancellor, and Dr. Manoj Goel, Pro Vice – Chancellor, KIET Deemed To Be University.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Tejasvi Surya inspired the budding engineers by emphasising the pivotal role of India's youth in nation-building. He encouraged students to continuously develop their knowledge, technical expertise, leadership qualities, and innovation capabilities so that they could meaningfully contribute to the country's growth in an increasingly technology-driven world. Stressing that today's youth are the architects of tomorrow's India, he urged students to embrace lifelong learning, critical thinking, entrepreneurship, and social responsibility.
The session concluded with an engaging interaction in which students raised thoughtful questions on several contemporary national issues. Responding to queries regarding examination paper leak incidents and concerns related to the NEET examination, Shri Surya observed that the government's long-term approach is focused on bringing about systemic reforms that can permanently eliminate such challenges. He also shared his perspectives on metropolitan development, the significance of The Delimitation Bill, 2026 raised in parliament, and the importance of balanced regional growth in a rapidly urbanising India.

Highlighting India's technological progress, Shri Surya referred to the remarkable achievements of Skyroot Aerospace, noting how the Indian private space technology sector is emerging as a global force in satellite launch services and innovation. He encouraged students to view such success stories as examples of the immense opportunities available in research, deep technology, entrepreneurship, and innovation. Advising students to remain adaptable in an era of rapid technological transformation, he urged them to continuously upgrade their skills, leverage emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and automation, and develop interdisciplinary competencies to remain globally competitive.
During the interactive session, Capt. Brijesh Chowta also responded to several questions raised by students, sharing valuable insights on leadership, public service, responsible citizenship, and the importance of informed participation in India's democratic and developmental journey. He encouraged students to pursue excellence with discipline, integrity, and a spirit of service while contributing constructively to society.
The programme was further enriched by the address of Shri Atul Garg, Hon'ble Member of Parliament and Chancellor-KIET University, who motivated the budding engineers to remain vigilant, inquisitive, and receptive to the rapidly evolving developments in the age of information technology. Emphasising that continuous learning is the key to professional success, he encouraged students to make the best use of technological advancements and innovation opportunities available today. He also assured students of his continued support for academic initiatives, innovative projects, and entrepreneurial endeavours that contribute to technological advancement and nation-building.

The induction programme also featured a series of experiential learning modules, including Communication and Literary Skills, AI Productivity Boot Camps, Introduction to C Programming, Fundamental Mathematics for Engineers, Fundamental Physics for Engineers, Arduino and Sensor Interfacing with PCB Fabrication, Heritage and Cultural Showcasing, Imagination and Creativity, and Indoor and Outdoor Sports Activities, providing students with multidisciplinary exposure and strengthening their technical, analytical, communication, and collaborative skills.
Through the 21-day Freshman Induction Program-2026, the University continues to prepare students to become globally competent, socially responsible, and innovation-driven professionals capable of leading the future with confidence and purpose.
