KEAM B.Arch 2020 - Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE) has extended the last date of KEAM application form 2020 till February 29 for all the eligible candidates. The application form of KEAM B. Arch 2020 was released on February 1 in online mode. The concerned authorities will offer admission into various participating institutes through KEAM B.Arch 2020. Admission through KEAM B. Arch 2020 will be purely based on the performance of candidates in NATA 2020 and qualifying exam only. Authorities will not conduct any separate entrance exam for KEAM B.Arch. The Authorities will prepare the KEAM B.Arch 2020 rank list by giving equal weightage to the marks obtained in the NATA, conducted by the Council of Architecture, and the marks in the qualifying examination. The rank list of KEAM B.Arch 2020 will be published around the third week of June, which will be followed by online centralized counselling. The seat allotment of KEAM B.Arch 2020 will be placed under various categories like Keralite and non-Keralite candidates, with only the former eligible for reservation benefits. Candidates applying for KEAM B.Arch 2020 must refer to the eligibility criteria prescribed by the authorities before applying for the admission process. Among the important KEAM B.Arch 2020 eligibility criteria that candidates need to meet include that of nativity and academic qualification, as have been elaborated below.
The candidate needs to be an Indian national.
Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/ Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) can also apply, but they will not be eligible for reservation.
Also, candidates will be categorised under two groups - Keralite and non-Keralite.
Keralite: Any candidate of Kerala origin will be categorised as a Keralite.
Additionally, wards of All India Service (AIS) officers posted in the state will also be considered under this category, though they will not be eligible for reservation or any fee concession.
Non-Keralite: There are two sub-categories under this category:
Non-Keralite Category I (NK I)
Non-Keralite Category II (NK II)
There is no maximum age limit.
Minimum Limit: The candidate needs to at least 17 years of age as on December 31, 2020.
The candidate needs to have either:
Passed 10+2 or equivalent exam securing minimum 50% aggregate marks
Hold a 3-year diploma with minimum 50% aggregate marks
Completed International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling, securing at least 50% marks.
The candidate needs to have studied Mathematics as one of the subjects in the qualifying exam.
Relaxation of Marks
Candidates belonging Socially and Educationally Backward Classes are eligible for relaxation of 5% marks in Qualifying Exam.
SC/ ST candidates however only need a pass in the qualifying exam to be eligible.
Qualifying Entrance Exam
The application form of KEAM B.Arch is available in online mode from February 1. In order to apply for KEAM B.Arch 2020, candidates will have to fill and submit the application form till February 29 (5:00 PM). Candidates will also be required to upload photographs, signatures and other documents. For the reference of the candidates, mentioned below are steps to be followed in order to fill KEAM B.Arch 2020 application form.

Step 1 - Registration
To register, the candidate will have to enter details like name, date of birth, email, and mobile number. The candidate will also be prompted to select a password for the new applicant account. Upon successful registration, the application number will be generated which the candidate needs to note down carefully.
Step 2 - Filling of Application Form
In this step, the candidate will have to enter personal, academic and contact details. Additionally, the course to which admission is sought also has to be selected.
Step 3 - Payment of Application Fee
This is the penultimate step, wherein the candidate will have to pay the applicable application fee, depending on their category.
Exempted from payment of fees
KEAM B.Arch Application Fee Payment Mode: The application fee can be paid online using credit card/debit card/Internet Banking. There is also a provision to pay the fee using e-challan, which have to be generated at the time of filling the application form. E-challan payment can be made at all Head/Sub Post Offices in Kerala. The e-challan has to submit the challan to the post office, and after payment of the fee collect the counterfoil (Candidate’s copy).
Step 4 - Uploading of documents
Documents, which include, photograph, signature and left thumb impression have to be uploaded in the prescribed specification, as given in the table below.

Note: All candidates must upload Date of birth and Nativity proof on or before the last date of application submission date which has been announced in the Notification. Subsequent to uploading these two certificates, candidates can take the Printout of Confirmation page. Other certificates have to be uploaded only if candidates desire to get the respective claims. Candidates can upload these certificates even after taking the Printout of Confirmation Page.
Step 5 - Print Confirmation Page
After completing steps 1 to 4, the candidate is advised to take a printout of the confirmation Page. The details shown in the confirmation page will be based on the information and claims input/made by the applicant in the online application form of KEAM B.Arch 2020. The Confirmation Page is issued for reference purpose only and does not represent the claims allowed. Do not send the Confirmation Page to the CEE office.
However, before proceeding towards filling KEAM B.Arch 2020 application form, keep following documents ready:
Proof of age
Course Certificate in Original or Self Attested copy of Mark list (for candidates who studies Sanskrit at 10+2).
Income Certificate (for availing fee concession / EC status).
Relevant documents for Special Reservation ( if applicable)
Exam authorities will release a common rank list of KEAM B.Arch 2020 in the third week of June. The rank list-cum result of KEAM B.Arch 2020 will be prepared based on the performance of the candidate in NATA 2020 and in the qualifying examination; both will be given equal weightage (50% each).
Seat allotment will be done based on the KEAM B.Arch 2020 rank list. Also, the rank list of KEAM 2020 thus published will be final, and no request for reevaluation will be entertained.
In addition to the common rank list, category-wise rank lists will also be published to accommodate candidates belonging to reserved categories like SC and ST. The validity of the rank list will be for the current academic session only.
KEAM B.Arch 2020 counselling will be conducted in online mode through a centralized allotment process (CAP) tentatively in the fourth week of June. All the shortlisted candidates will be called to participate in KEAM B.Arch 2020counselling and seat allotment process where they will have to get registered and fill choices in the order of preference. Seat will be allotted based on merit, availability and preference entered by the candidates. Mentioned below is the counselling process of KEAM B.Arch 2020.
Get registered- Candidate will have to register online or visit nearby Facilitation Centres (FC) to get registered. Online registration could be done using KEAM 2020 roll and application numbers.
Filling of Choices - After successful registration, the candidate will have to fill a choice of colleges, in the order of preference.
Mock Allotment - Based on choices filled by candidates, a mock allotment will be made. The candidate will be able to use the results of mock allotment to edit their choices.
Seat Allotment - Finally, seat allotment will be made based on the merit rank of the candidate and choices opted for admission. Candidates who will be allotted seats will have to download the allotment memo, which will contain details related to the college allotted, the fee to be paid at the time of admission, etc. At the time of admission, the candidate will also be required to complete the document verification process.

If a candidate wants to be considered for allotment in Architecture course, the qualifying in NATA (National Aptitude Test) conducted by Council of Architecture is required. The candidate should also apply for KEAM also.

National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is a national entrance exam for admission into 5 year Bachelors or Architecture degree at various Architecture Schools of India.
The NATA paper is Divided into 2 parts.
Part A consists of 3 questions of drawing which are to answered on a drawing sheet.
