NATA 2025: The Council of Architecture has extended the last date for the NATA 2025 for the August exam till 9 August 2025. The NATA exam booking has commenced from June 25, 2025, to August 5, 2025. The exam was held in the afternoon session from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM. On Saturdays, the NATA exam was held in both morning and afternoon sessions, while on Friday, it was held only in the afternoon session. What is NATA?
The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) has been conducted by the Council of Architecture (COA) since 2006 for admission to Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) programs. NATA evaluates a candidate’s aptitude for architecture through various assessments, including cognitive skills, visual perception, aesthetic sensitivity, logical reasoning, and critical thinking. It is one of the authorized tests that provide access to architecture programs, together with the JEE exam. The admission policy is determined based on scores obtained in the NATA test and other norms set by COA and other affiliated bodies as the case may be.
The NATA is being conducted for the academic year 2025-2026. The test is being held over several weekends, from March to June 2025, in two shifts on Fridays and Saturdays. No, you cannot directly do M.Arch after B.Tech in Computer Engineering. M.Arch (Master of Architecture) requires a B.Arch (Bachelor of Architecture) degree as a basic qualification.
NATA is for admission to B.Arch, not M.Arch. So, after B.Tech, you cannot use NATA to enter M.Arch.
