JEE Main Paper 1 Analysis by Learn.careers360

Online coaching expert Learn.careers360 interacted with some of the students post Paper 1 exam on January 10 forenoon session. Students gave mixed reviews about the difficulty level of exams and founds computer-based test to be easy and hassle-free. Below are the some of key highlights of students reactions

Most of the students found diffculty level of paper as average to moderate while some reacts saying it easy.

Chemistry section was easy as told by most of the students and was more of theoratical in nature unlike calculative.

Questions in Physics and Mathematics were mostly reckoning in nature requiring assumptions and lengthy calculations.

Questions were covered almost from all the topics of each subject, while topics like electrostatics dominated in Physics

Some students also found that there were some questions in Mathematics which were more or less quite the same as the previous year. Questions in Physics and Chemistry were almost new in structure and rendered some kind of anonymity.

_Abhishek_Vatsya Student Expert 20th Oct, 2019

Hey!There

Cuttoff score of any category depends upon level of paper.. Cuttoff can be predicted after analysing Jee mains paper  and JEE MAINS 2020 EXAMINATION will conduct on January..So patiently wait till EXAMINATION gets over..But you can take 40+ score as safe score for getting seats in NITs..

Ask if any query..

Hello,

Its good that you are focused on the attempt which you want to give and i want you to keep you focus razor sharp and that's what is needed to get a good rank.Just have a good strategy, work on your weakness and clear all your doubts.Solve oast year question papers and mocks either online or offline.
Also take care of your health and try to be positive all the time.Dont rush and panic just be calm and collected and focus on studies.

Here are some chapters that are important :

Mathematics

Complex Number , Quadratic Equations

Coordinate Geometry (straight line, circle and conic section )

Calculus ( function, application of derivatives, definite integration are most important part in calculus )

3-D and vector

bionomial theoem and Sequences and Series

Chemistry

Chemical Bonding and Molecular Structure

Chemical Thermodynamics

Electrochemistry

Inorganic Chemistry ( most important part for jee main )

Organic Chemistry( xiith class oganic chemisty is more imporant, full scoring )

Polymers and Bio Molecules

Environmental Chemistry

How many marks should i get to qualify in JEE mains 2020 Exam

Anupam Kumar Student Expert 20th Oct, 2019

Hey there

Cutoff can only be predicted after seeing the toughness of the question so at this time predicting the cutoff is of no use. Also do not think of just clearing the cutoff as if you'll just clear the cutoff then also you'll not get any good colleges. So try score atleast more than 130+ for good colleges.

Now that the JEE Main pattern has changed, what marks are required for admission in IIIT-Hyderabad and the top 4 NITs.

Sonali Sahu Student Expert 20th Oct, 2019

Hello,

there might be change in exam pattern but that won't effect to the NIT or IIIT selection criteria. they intake candidates on the basis of rank which is calculated from many factors and the most important factor is percentile you score in JEE Main. Your percentile will get affected by your score in your entrance exam.

In other way even your percentile is higher there will be many candidate with higher percentile or same percentile as you and you will  left behind as your rank will be high drastically.

Lets assume if you got percentile 99% there will be around 5k-10k students with 99.0-99.9% percentile. Then your rank will be near to 6k-11k. if so you will not get NIT or IIIT. so it totally depends on how many candidates are before you.

Nothing to worry just give your best. in addition a rank below 2Kis considered to get an admission into NIT or IIIT easily through counseling.

Hope it helps!
