Questions related to JEE Advanced
i didnt clear my jee mains exam in my 12th appering attempt is it count as my jee advanced attempt
Hello Aspirant,
Yes the attempt for JEE-Advance will definitely be deducted even if you are unable to appear in it or unable to qualify JEE-Main.
Let ma make you clear with an example,
see if you are going to pass your class 12th examinations in 2022 then you will be eligible for JEE-Advance 2022 and 2023 provided that you qualify JEE-Main 2022 and 2023 respectively. Now if you somehow don't appear for JEE-Advance 2022 then also your one allowed attempt will be deducted and then you will only be eligible for JEE-Advance 2023.
This is because maximum attempts allowed for JEE-Advance is 2 in 2 consecutive years, first attempt in the passing year of class 12th or equivalent examination and second attempt in very next year to that. Similarly for JEE-Main maximum attempts allowed for JEE-Main is 3 in 3 consecutive years, first attempt in the passing year of class 12th or equivalent examination and second attempt in very next year to that followed by third attempt in third year.

Hi
No, you won't be eligible for jee advanced 2023 with your class 12 passing year in 2021 irrespective of whether you fill the application form of JEE advanced 2022 or not or whether you appear for JEE advanced 2022 or .
This is because,
One has a total of two attempts for JEE advanced over two consecutive years starting from the year of appearing for 12th board examination i. e as per , eligibility criteria one is eligible for JEE advanced examination only in the year in which he or she appears for 12th board examination and the next year following it.
So, with 12 th appearing year as 2021
-
you were eligible for jee advanced 2021 and
-
eligible for jee advanced 2022 only. Thus, not eligible for JEE advanced 2023
