Hi Gopi,

Securing admission to a Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) program at a National Institute of Technology (NIT) is highly competitive, especially for branches like CSE.

As an ST category student, your chances depend on your JEE Main score, rank, and the specific NIT's cutoff for the CSE branch. Let's understand the JEE Main Cutoffs:

  • 2024: 46.6975840
  • 2023: 37.2348772
  • 2022: 26.7771328

With a score of 60 marks in JEE Main 2024, you have surpassed the ST category qualifying cutoff. However, admission to specific branches like CSE depends on the opening and closing ranks during the counseling process.

The closing ranks for CSE in various NITs for the ST category can provide insight into your admission chances. For instance, at NIT Warangal, the expected closing rank for the ST category in CSE is between 34 and 78.

Hi,

For admission to the College of Engineering, Pune (COEP), your JEE Main Paper 1 score is crucial as it is one of the primary criteria for B.Tech admissions. However, if you have a strong score in Paper 2 (B.Arch), it won't directly impact your B.Tech admission. COEP primarily considers JEE Main Paper 1 scores for B.Tech admission

That said, having a good score in Paper 2 can still be beneficial if you decide to apply for B.Arch programs at other institutions or if you're considering a career in architecture.

Hello aspirant,

Students can focus more on key chapters that are tested if they are aware of the JEE Main 2025 chapter-by-chapter weighting. It helps them to focus on the most important topics before the exams to score good marks.
