Rule of Changing Branch in IIITs - There are 26 IIITs in India. Every year, these institutions provide admission to a large number of BTech aspirants through JoSAA counselling. Nonetheless, it is possible that students may not always get entrance to their desired B.Tech courses. In such cases, many IIITs provide a one-time option to change the branch after the first year. The colleges have a predefined set of rules for branch change in IIITs. The stream-changing option is allowed based on the academic eligibility of the candidates. Moreover, eligibility for changing branches in IIITs can be dependent on the course type, JEE Main result, seat vacancy and other factors. Hello Aspirant,
Congratulations for clearing SRMJEE examination with good rank.Regarding the fee structure of SRM CSE AP you need to check its official website,or else using this link- https://srmap.edu.in/admission-india/engineering/btech-tuition-fee-seas/
All the very best for your admission process.
As an outstate candidate from West Bengal with a JEE Main rank of 530000, your chances of getting admission to PMEC, Berhampur under the All India Quota are low for core branches like CSE or ECE, but you may still be considered for lower-demand branches in later rounds or spot counselling. It’s advisable to apply and keep checking for seat availability during the counselling rounds.
With a JEE Main rank of 5.3 lakh and as an out-of-state candidate, you have a good chance of getting core branches like Mechanical, Civil, or Metallurgy at PMEC Berhampur under All India Quota.
However, CSE/ECE is not possible at this rank.
Hello
Not eligible for the general quota at VIT Pune with 62 percentile.
You could explore management quota (but fees will be steep).
Consider improving your score and reattempting JEE, or apply to other colleges with lower cutoffs.
