HPCET Reservation Criteria 2025 - HPTU had released the HPCET 2025 reservation criteria on the website, himtu.ac.in. The reservation criteria will comprise details on the percentage of seats reserved for various categories. Aspirants of the Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test must check the reservation criteria of HPCET 2025. Candidates who seek admission to the reserved seats have to submit the certificates supporting their claims, apart from qualifying for the HPCET 2025. The participating institutes of HPCET will offer BTech admission as per the reservation criteria. Candidates will have to participate in the HPCET counselling for admission based on JEE Main or HPCET. The Himachal Pradesh Technical University releases the HPCET reservation criteria through the information brochure. Each institute has a certain number of seats that are reserved for candidates belonging to different categories, such as SC/ST. Candidates can check the reservation criteria of HPCET 2025 on this page once released online. Until then, students can verify the reservation criteria of HPCET 2025 based on the previous years' information.

Candidates seeking admission through vertical or horizontal HPCET reservation criteria 2025 have to submit the certificate supporting their claim. Candidates who fail to submit the documents will not be offered admission to the reserved seats.

Candidates have to provide valid certificates or documents to prove their HPCET 2025 eligibility for admission to reserved seats.
Reserved category seats that are left vacant will be transferred to the General category towards the last round of HPCET 2025 counselling.

In case you have managed to get 120 marks in HPCET and if you are in EWS category, then you stand in a very good chance in securing a government pharmacy college. EWS candidates are supposed to have a score of 120 since it is rather good: However, it is only provided that a student has the necessary seat in college and the preference of the college and the required cut off of the year coincide in each of the cases.
Your chances of securing a seat will also be determined by your rank and the govt pharmacy college that you want to secure.

With a score of 262 in HPCET and a 78 percentile in JEE Mains, your marks are quite good especially for state colleges in Himachal Pradesh like GHEC Bilaspur. Admission into Computer Science or core branches should be within reach, provided you apply under the state quota.Generally, HPCET cutoffs for general candidates in GHEC Bilaspur hover around 180–250 for most branches. So, with 262, you're in a good position. The 78 percentile in JEE Mains might not get you into NIT Hamirpur, but it's still helpful for counselling preferences.

Considering the typical closing marks for ECE at ABVGIET, which is a government-affiliated college in Himachal, the required score for HP quota EWS candidates usually falls in the range of 90 to 110 marks. That means your 97 score is likely just around the cutoff, giving you a fair chance to get ECE, especially in later rounds like mop-up or spot rounds.
Since HPCET counselling allows you to choose branches and colleges based on your rank and category, it's important that you participate actively, list ECE at ABVGIET high, and stay engaged through all counselling rounds. If seats remain unfilled, your score should make you eligible for admission.

Yes with 80 HP CET marks , you surpass typical cutoffs for state - quota entry into JNGEC. You are very likely to obtain a seat in core branches like Civil , Mechanical or Textile, more competitive streams like E&C or AI may require a bit higher score , but admission is still feasible with your JEE percentile backing it up .
80 mark in HPCET, it’s very unlikely you will get a seat in Jawaharlal Nehru Government engineering College or other Himachal Government engineering colleges. Chapati
