Candidates must have passed class 12 or its equivalent exam from a recognised board
Candidates must have passed class 12 with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved category candidates)
Candidates must have Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in their class 12 exam
Admission Criteria of HPTU
The university offers admission in B.Tech course through various modes which include JEE Main and HPCET. Seats which remain vacant are filled with candidates performance in their class 12 exam. The detailed step by step procedure for admission in HPTU is as follows
First 50% seats will be filled with candidates having valid score in JEE Main 2020
The remaining seats will be filled with candidates having valid score in HPCET 2020
Seats which remain vacant, if any, will be filled by candidates on the basis of their performance in class 12 exam
Eligibility Criteria for Admission through JEE Main 2020
Students seeking admission through JEE Main need to fulfill the below mentioned criteria in order to be considered for admission.
Candidates must have valid score in JEE Main 2020 from either January or April attempt.
Candidates must fulfill all HPCET eligibility criteria 2020
Candidates applying through JEE Main need not appear for HPCET 2020 entrance exam.
HPCET 2020 Eligibility Criteria for Direct Entry
Seats which remain vacant after admission through JEE Main and HPCET 2020 are filled on the basis of class 12 marks. Candidates who have not appeared in either JEE Main or HPCET can apply for vacant seats, if any. Seats will be allotted on the basis of their performance in class 12 marks. Students applying through this mode are required to fulfill all HPCET eligibility criteria 2020 in order to be considered for admission.

If you have not given HPCET exam it will be a bit hard to get into a college which gives the admissions through HPCET exam. About giving the admission without the exam it depends on the college whether it accepts admission through your class 12/graduation percentage or other option is management quota seats.

Is their any age limit in HPCET
No there is no age limit for appearing for HPCET.
Other criteria for HPCET are
Following criteria had to be met if the candidates wished to appear in the HPCET 2019 examination.
- Candidates must have passed their Class 12 th or equivalent from a recognized college or board
- Candidates must have secured at least 45% marks in the qualifying examination. 5% relaxation is given to the candidates belonging to the reserved categories
- Candidates must have Physics and Mathematics as a compulsory subject along with one other – Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subjects
Important: If the aggregate percentage for candidates is coming in the fraction, in such case, the candidate must round off their percentage to the nearest percentage of marks. For example, candidates having aggregate marks in the range of 44.01% - 44.49%, it shall be rounded off to 44% and 44.50% - 44.99% shall be rounded off to 45%.
Sir I got 70 marks in hpcet...and i am from general category can I get seat in any govt college
Coming to your question I would like to tell you based on the previous year stats, having 70 marks in hpcet can make you elligibility for the jngec and other government colleges . So just wait for the counselling.
