GCET B.Arch 2019: Eligibility Criteira
Aspirants seeking admissions in B.Arch course under GCET must first check the eligibility conditions specified by the conducting authority. Several eligibility conditions have been declared by the conducting authority for GCET 2019 and if any student who fails to meet the eligibility criteria will be deemed as disqualified for admissions. Indian nationals: Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) /Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) cardholders. Foreign candidates can also apply through NRI quota
Candidate must be minimum 17 years old before December 2018
Candidate must have appeared for NATA 2019 and obtained qualifying score
Candidate must have passed:
10+2 from Goa Board, CBSE or any other equivalent board with minimum 50% aggregate score.
10+3 Diploma with Mathematics as a subject from any central/state recognized institute with 50% aggregate score.
International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling, with 50% aggregate score and Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
GCET B.Arch 2019: Application Form
The application process for admission in B.Arch courses commenced from May 17, 2019. Candidates had to download and print the application form and the entire application process was conducted offline. After printing the application form, candidates had to fill in all the required details accordingly and attach xerox copies of all the necessary documents. All the documents had to be self attested by the candidate. Candidates could either submit the application form in person at the notified centre or through post. Student submitting application form through had to clearly address the post to “Chairman, Admission Committee, Directorate of Technical Education, Porvorim, Goa 403521”. Steps to fill GCET B.Arch Application Form 2019
Downloading and Printing Application form: For admission in architecture courses, students had to submit FORM B which was specifically for architecture aspirants. The application form was available online and also in the online information brochure of GCET 2019.
Filling Details and Attaching Documents: Candidates had to a print of the application form and fill in all the required details such as academic qualifications, contact details, NATA roll number etc. Along with the application form students also had to submit self attested copies of documents such as HSC marksheet, NATA score card etc.
Payment of Application Fee: The application process was only completed after the payment of fee. Candidates were required to pay an application fee of Rs.1500/- at any branch of HDFC Bank in Goa, in the Account of ‘Directorate of Technical Education’, with client code ‘DRCTORTEDU’, candidates also had to attach a copy of pay-in-slip/receipt of payment, along with the application form.
Submission of the Application form and documents: After filling in all the details and attaching the required documents, candidate had to submit the application form to the notified centres as per the schedule.
Acknowledgement card: Once a candidate had successfully submitted the application form they were provided an acknowledgement card with registration number as a proof of application submission.

In case the result of NATA were not announced till the application date students were provided the acknowledgement card. In such case student had to submit the score card within 8 days of result declaration by the competent authority.
GCET B.Arch 2019: Merit List
Merit list for all the candidates who have submitted their application for admission in B.arch has been released on July 26, 2019. The merit list is now available to students online and also at the notice board of respective admission centres. Admissions will only be provided to those candidates whose name is listed in the merit list. The merit list declared by the authority is based on the following:
Marks secured by the candidate in NATA and marks in the HSC examination. 50% weightage will be given to scores of NATA and equal 50% to HSC scores of the candidate.
In case the combined marks of two or more candidates are equal, applicants with higher NATA score will be placed higher in the merit list.
In the above case if the NATA score of the candidates is equal, student with higher marks in Mathematics will be placed higher in the merit position.
If the scores are still equal, the candidate with earlier date of birth will be placed higher
GCET B.Arch 2019: Counselling and Seat Allotment
The counselling process of admissions in B.Arch will be conducted for total 40 seats in Goa College of Architecture. To participate in the counselling process students had to submit the application form physically at the nearest Admission centres along with all the required documents and application fee. Student will be offered admissions on the basis of Merit list that is prepared by the scores of the candidate in NATA 2019 and HSC. Candidates need to be present in person at the admission centre for the counselling process. Applicants whose name appear on the merit list will have the option to choose seat from the available choices on the basis of their merit position.
Steps for Counselling and Seat Allotment Process for GCET B.Arch 2019
Online Registration for Counselling: The counselling and seat allotment process will be conducted for only those candidates who have submitted the application form before the last date. Candidates are required to fill the application form and submit it at the notified centres before the last date.
Acknowledgement card: Candidates will be provided an acknowledgement card after the successful submission of the application. Applicants need to carry the acknowledgement card at the time of seat allotment.
Release of Provisional Merit List: The competent authority will then release a provisional merit list for all the eligible candidates. The merit list will be available online as well at the notice board of all admission centres.
Reporting at the Admission Centre: Eligible students need to report at the institute in person to secure their seat. Candidates will be provided with the option of choosing their seat on the basis of their merit position.
GCET B.Arch 2019 Participating Institutes
Goa College of Architecture is the only institute that will accept admission in architecture courses under GCET 2019. There are total of 40 seats available for candidates under different categories.
