Aspirants need to know the importance of CRL in JEE Main 2026. The ranks mentioned as per the CRL are without the consideration of any reservation criteria. Meaning, candidates with the category tags, GEN, GEN-PwD, GEN-EWS, GEN-EWS-PwD, OBC-NCL, OBCNCL-PwD, SC, SC-PwD, ST or ST-PwD are included in the CRL. For admission to the NIT+ system, priority is given to the CRL in JEE Mains 2026. Thereafter, the category-wise lists are given preference.

CRL's full form is Common Rank List. The authority will release the details of the rank in the CRL. However, the complete list is not uploaded on the official website. Candidates have to log in to the official website to check their rank. Here are the steps to check the CRL in JEE Mains.
Go to the JEE Main 2026 official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.
Click on the JEE Main 2026 result link
Enter login details and submit.
Click on the download result tab.

Note that the following details will be mentioned in the JEE Main 2026 CRL. Candidates will be able to view the given information-
Candidate’s details like name, gender
Father’s and Mother’s name
JEE Mains roll number
Application number
Applicant’s category and subcategory (if any)
JEE Mains topper marks out of 300
Total NTA score
All India Rank (AIR) as per CRL
Rank as per the Category Rank List (is applicable)
Subject-wise NTA scores for each attempt
The authority will release the JEE Mains toppers list 2026 on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. These are the names of the 100 percentilers. Also, the category-wise, gender wise and state-wise topper list will be uploaded online. Note that all 100 percentilers need not have rank 1 as per CRL.
The authority first gets the raw marks. Then the raw marks were converted to percentiles. Thereafter, the following tie-breaking criteria are used to derive the CRL.
NTA score in Mathematics
NTA score in Physics, followed by
NTA score in Chemistry, followed by
Candidate with a lower proportion of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in all the subjects in the Test, followed by
Candidate with a lower proportion of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Mathematics in the Test, followed by
Candidate with a lower proportion of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Physics in the Test, followed by
Candidate with a lower proportion of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Chemistry in the test, followed by
If there is a tie even after this, candidates will be assigned the same rank.
