How to Put a Thumb Impression on the JEE Admit Card 2026?

Aspirants can check the step-by-step process to learn how to put the left-hand thumb impression on the JEE admit card. A right-hand thumb impression on a JEE admit card is not allowed. The detailed instructions on the candidate's left-hand thumb impression (to be put before reaching the centre) are given below.

    • Take a printout of the JEE hall ticket 2026.

    • Candidates need an ink pad (the blue colour is preferred). If an ink pad is not available, then any gel or ball pen can be used.

    • Clean the thumb to remove the dirt, oil etc.

    • When using the ink pad, press the left thumb firmly on the ink pad for proper ink transfer.

    • Otherwise, candidates can use a good ball pen or gel pen. Rub the pen on the thumb, covering the area for proper impression.

    • Press the thumb on the blank space provided on the admit card.

    • Candidates should make sure that the print does not spread out of the designated space in the document.

    • Let the ink dry completely to avoid smudging.

    • Note that the thumb impression on the JEE admit card 2026 has to be visible.
