AP POLYCET 2019 – State Board of Technical Education and Training, Amaravati announced the AP POLYCET 2019 result on May 9. The counselling will be conducted by SBTET in online mode only. The exam authorities conducted AP POLYCET 2019 in offline mode on April 30 for admission to diploma programmes offered by polytechnic institutes in the state of Andhra Pradesh. AP POLYCET 2019 exam was comprised of multiple-choice questions from physics, chemistry and mathematics – answers has to be entered on OMR sheets by darkening the answer option. The syllabus of AP POLYCET 2019 was based on Class 10 (S.S.C.) syllabus. The application form of AP POLYCET 2019 was available in both online and offline mode. After duly filled the form, the candidate had submitted it to the computer operator at designated helpline centres.

AP POLYCET Result 2019

State Board of Technical Education and Training, Amaravati declared the result of AP POLYCET 2019 on May 9. The AP POLYCET 2019 result includes both the score and rank obtained by the candidate in the entrance exam. To qualify or be considered pass in the exam, candidates need to score minimum 30% marks or score 36 out of 120. In case of SC and ST candidates, however, there is no minimum score and will be assigned ranking irrespective of marks they score, for admission in their respective categories.

How to check AP POLYCET Rank Card 2019

  • Log-in to result portal using AP POLYCET 2019 hall ticket number

  • Upon successful log-in, the rank card will be displayed on the screen

  • Download and take a printout of the AP POLYCET 2019 rank card.

AP POLYCET 2019 result will be used by the admission authorities to prepare rank lists, based on which allotment of seats will be made. In case there is a tie, it would be broken in the following order:

  • Candidates scoring higher marks in mathematics

  • Higher marks in physics

  • Finally, the candidate older in age.

AP POLYCET Eligibility Criteria 2019

The eligibility criteria of AP POLYCET 2019 were the set of conditions that candidates had to met. Among the important AP POLYCET 2019 eligibility criteria that candidates need to meet include that of domicile, qualifying exam passed and minimum marks, which had been explained below.

Eligibility Criteria of AP POLYCET 2019

  • Nationality – Only Indian nationals can apply

  • Domicile – The candidate needs to be a resident of Andhra Pradesh

  • Qualifying Exam – The candidate needs to have passed SSC examination conducted by State Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana or an equivalent exam with a minimum aggregate of 35% marks, with Mathematics as a compulsory subject. The candidate, in addition, needs to have passed all the subjects in the qualifying exam – including Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics – with a minimum of 35% marks in each subject.

  • Age limit – There is no restriction on age limit

AP POLYCET Application Form 2019

The application form of AP POLYCET 2019 was available in online mode from March 7 – applications were not available in any other mode. The candidate had to download the application form or visit helpline centres that have been set up for filling the application form under the guidance of coordinators. Eligible candidates should fill the AP POLYCET 2019 application form using correct and verifiable data, or else they would not be considered for admission. Before filling the form, the candidate needs to carefully go through the instruction booklet.

How to fill AP POLYCET 2019 application form- Offline

  • Candidates had to download the application form from the website and take the hard copy of the same in the A4 sheet.
  • Fill in details like year of passing Class 10 and hall ticket number, and date of birth

  • Enter the name as mentioned in school certificates. Care must be taken to ensure that there is a gap between parts of the name.

  • Fill in father’s name.

  • Enter address details for correspondence

  • The candidate also had to enter an exam centre where he/she would like to give the test

  • Choose the category – BC, SC, or ST – under which admission is sought.

  • If the candidate belongs to any special category (CAP/SP/PH/NCC), it must also be mentioned.

  • Choose the medium of exam – examination in Urdu medium was offered only at Guntur and Nandyal centres

  • The candidate also had to upload or affix a photograph and signature in the designated space.

  • The candidate needs to visit a nearby help line centre and submit the completed application form to the computer operator. The application fee of Rs. 400 can be paid in cash or through net banking.

  • The computer operator would enter the details mentioned on the application form to an online system and also upload photograph and signature. Upon successful submission, admit cards would be issued and handed over to the candidate.

For the convenience of the candidate, the application for POLYCET 2019 was available in online mode also which was facilitated by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, A.P. Amaravati.

How to fill AP POLYCET 2019 application form- Online

  • Step-1: Candidates need to upload the necessary documents as per the prescribed format.
  • Step-2: Fill the online application form on the basis of detailed instructions.
  • Step-3: Make the payment of application fee by Credit/Debit card.
  • Step-4: Download hall ticket: Candidates would receive the hall ticket instantly as PDF or through email after the successful completion of fee payment.

AP POLYCET Exam Pattern 2019

As per the exam pattern of AP POLYCET 2019, the question paper would include 120 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Of these, 60 would be from Mathematics and 30 each from Physics and Chemistry. Each question would have four answer options, out of which only one would be the correct option. There was no negative marking. The duration of the test would be 2 hours, with questions being asked from Class 10 (S.S.C.) syllabus.

The test would be conducted in offline mode – candidates would be given Optical Mark Reader (OMR) Response Sheets, where answers have to enter by filling up or darkening the relevant circle/boxes. The only 2B pencil was used for darkening responses.


AP POLYCET Hall Ticket 2019

The computer operator at the help centre after accepted the completed hard copy of the application form from the candidate would enter the details in the online application system. The operator would also upload photograph and signature and finally click on the submit button to generate the admit card cum hall ticket of AP POLYCET 2019. Candidates must note that the printing of the AP POLYCET 2019 hall ticket may not be possible on the same day as submission of application form due to rush, especially in the last few days. In such cases, the candidate would be able to collect the AP POLYCET application form after two to three days. The hall ticket iwas also available online.

How to download AP POLYCET hall ticket 2019 Online

  • Click on the hall ticket download link

  • Log-in to the portal using – 10th hall ticket number, date of birth and year of passing/appearing in class 10

  • Click on View and Print Hall Ticket button

After received the AP POLYCET admit card, the candidate had to check the details mentioned on it are correct, or else the candidate would get it rectified immediately at the helpline centre. If the photo or data mentioned on the AP POLYCET hall ticket 2019 is incorrect, the candidate may not be allowed to take the test.

AP POLYCET Counselling 2019

The counselling of AP POLYCET 2019 will be conducted in online (web-based) mode. To participate in the AP POLYCET 2019 counselling process, the candidate will have to first register and get their documents verified at designated helpline centres. However, the verification of documents have to be done only be specific category candidates. The AP POLYCET counselling 2019 counselling schedule is prepared rank-wise – so the candidate has to report for counselling on the scheduled day only.

Post document verification, the candidates have to participate in the online choice-filling process. If the candidates want, they may even visit a helpline centre for completing the choice-filling process. It is recommended that candidates enter as many choices as possible to improve their chances of getting admission or a preferred seat. Also, to aid the choice filling process exam authorities will upload the last rank up to which admission was done in the previous academic session, which can be used by candidates to make informed divisions.

AP POLYCET Seat Allotment 2019

Admission authorities will consider the merit rank of candidate and options exercised for AP POLYCET 2019 seat allotment. The result of AP POLYCET 2019 seat allotment will be published online on June 2. Candidates who have been allotted seats will have to download the AP POLYCET seat allotment letter by logging into the allotment portal. In addition, the details of seat allotment will also be sent to the registered mobile number of the candidate.
