AP Polycet Eligibility Criteria 2020

Candidates must check the eligibility criteria of AP Polycet 2020 before applying for the exam. No candidate will be eligible for final allotment if he/she does not fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria of the exam. Qualifying Exam

Candidates must have passed SSC examination conducted by the State Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana or an equivalent exam with a minimum aggregate of 35% marks with Mathematics as one of the subjects.


Candidates who belong to NIOS/APOSS/CBSE/ICSE/Other examinations that have been recognized as equivalent to SSC by A.P. Govt must have passed all subjects including Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with a minimum of 35% Marks in each subject.


Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam in the application year are also eligible to apply.

AP Polycet Application Form 2020

Candidates can apply for AP Polycet 2020 in both online and offline modes. To obtain the offline application form, the candidates will have to visit the nearest helpline centres of AP Polycet 2020. Candidates can refer the steps given below to fill the AP Polycet 2020 application form in both the modes.

Steps to fill Offline AP Polycet 2020 Application Form

  • Candidates will have to download AP Polycet 2020 application form from the official website and take a print out.

  • Personal, academic and other required details has to be filled out in the form.

  • Choice of the exam centre has to be entered.

  • Enter Category- BC, SC, or ST – under which admission is sought.

  • Language medium of examination has to be selected - examination in Urdu medium will only be offered at Guntur and Nandyal centres.

  • Photograph has to be affixed on the specified place and the signatures has to be done on the form.

  • After completing the form, the candidates will have to visit the nearest helpline centre and submit the completed form to the computer operator.

  • Application fee of Rs 400 has to be paid in cash or through internet banking.

  • The computer Operator will enter all the details of the candidate to an online computer system along with uploading the photograph and signature of the candidate. After this, the operator will submit the form.

  • Once the form is submitted, the hall ticket of AP Polycet 2020 will be generated.

  • A print out of the hall ticket has to be taken.

AP Polycet Syllabus 2020

AP Polycet Result 2020

State Board of Technical Education and Training, Amaravati will release the result of AP Polycet 2020 on the official website tentatively in the first week of May. AP Polycet 2020 result will include the marks scored by the candidates along with their ranks. In order to qualify AP Polycet 2020, a candidate will have to score at least 30% marks in the exam i.e. 36 marks out of 120. However, there is no minimum requirement of marks for SC/ST candidates, they will be allotted seats irrespective of their scores in the exam. Candidates who will qualify the exam will be called for the counselling of AP Polycet 2020.

Steps to check AP Polycet 2020 Result/Rank Card

  • Visit the official website.

  • Click on the result link.

  • Login using AP Polycet 2020 hall ticket number.

  • Result will be displayed on the screen.

  • Download and take a print out.

The authorities will use AP Polycet 2020 to prepare a rank list on the basis of which seats will be allotted to the candidates.

AP Polycet 2020 Tie-Breaking Rule

In case of a tie of marks between two or more candidates, the authorities will use the following the tie-breaking rule to determine the rank of the candidate

  • Candidates with higher marks in Mathematics, will be given a higher rank.

  • If the tie still persists, candidates with higher marks in Physics will be given higher rank.

  • If the tie still persists, candidate who is older in age will be given higher rank.

  • If the tie still persists, finally the candidate who will have higher marks in the qualifying exam will be given higher rank.

AP Polycet Counselling 2020

AP Polycet 2020 counselling will be conducted after the declaration of results. Only candidates who will qualify AP Polycet 2020 will be called for the counselling process. Candidates can refer to the following steps to understand the counselling process of AP Polycet 2020.

  • The counselling process will start with document verification, for which all the eligible candidates will have to report to AP Polycet 2020 helpline centres with all their documents.

  • After document verification, candidates will have to register for web-based AP Polycet 2020 counselling.

  • After registration, candidates will have to participate in the online-choice filling. Candidates can also visit helpline centres for choice-filling.

AP Polycet 2020 Seat Allotment

After the candidates will lock their choices of courses in the counselling, the authorities will publish the result of AP Polycet 2020 seat allotment. The candidates who will be allotted seats, will have to download their AP Polycet 2020 seat allotment letter by logging in to portal and paying a fee of Rs 800. All the candidates who will be allotted seats will have to report to the polytechnic allotted first by self-reporting (online system) and after that in physical form. It should be noted that both self-reporting and physical reporting is mandatory.
