Established in 2001, Dhirubhai Ambani University (DAU) is a private state university located in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. DAIICT Gandhinagar, renamed as Dhirubhai Ambani University, is also accredited by NAAC with an “A+” grade. It offers undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD courses. DAU Gandhinagar courses include BTech, MTech, MSc, MDes and PhD.
In this interview between Careers360 and Siddh Shah, a BTech ICT Hons. student from Ahmedabad, the conversation explores the transition from being an introvert to finding a place within the vibrant community at Dhirubhai Ambani University. Careers360: Tell us something about yourself, such as where you are from.
Siddh Shah: My name is Siddh Shah, and I am from Ahmedabad, studying BTech ICT Hons. at Dhirubhai Ambani University.
Careers360: Did you face any difficulty in the initial months when you joined the institute?
Siddh Shah: Yes, as I was an introvert initially, I wasn't able to fit easily, but later, as I got involved in clubs, it changed completely.
Careers360: What activities are offered in the institute? Are there any clubs etc for the various extracurricular activities? Which ones have you taken up and are a part of?
Siddh Shah: Yes, there are 22 clubs, 8 committees and organisations like IEEE, Sambhav and DCEI. I am part of DTG and the Academic Committee.
Careers360: Describe a typical day at your institute – what do you do from the time you wake up till you go to sleep?
Siddh Shah: Waking up at 8 for lectures, attending labs and tutorials till 6. Completing lab assignments till 8 and then enjoying college life till 1 am.
Careers360: What facilities do you have on campus? What do you like here the most, which you feel is unique and differentiating?
Siddh Shah: Laundry, Libraries, Cafeteria, etc.
The most unique thing is the night culture of college.
Careers360: How comfortable are your hostels, and how about the cleanliness factor over there?
Siddh Shah: Cleanliness is good, but there is a requirement for more hostel room area.
Careers360: What about the medical facilities? Can you avail yourself of the requisite medical attention if needed in an emergency?
Siddh Shah: Yes, medical facilities are improving day by day.

Careers360: How do you balance your studies, projects, exams and other activities?
Siddh Shah: It's like if you pay attention in class, then you can easily manage all together. It's all possible. But sometimes it makes the schedule too hectic in balancing.

Siddh Shah: Yes

The chances of getting admission in DAIICT Gandhinagar are tough with 90 percentile in JEE Mains .
Hello,
Admission to the ICT branch at DAIICT depends on your GUJCET rank, board marks, category, and the year's cutoff. With around 85–90% in PCM and a 100+ score in GUJCET, there may be a chance for SEBC category students, but it depends on the final cutoff during counselling.

With a percentile of 97.76, you have a very strong chance of securing admission at DA-IICT (Gandhinagar) under the NRI/Foreign National (DAFS) category.
