Candidates willing to participate in MHT CET CAP 2026 rounds must qualify for the MHT CET 2026 exam. The following are some prerequisites for eligibility for MHT CET CAP 2026.
Maharashtra State Candidates must pass HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with at least 45% marks and 40% marks for EWS, SC and STs.
All India candidates must have a Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtain at least 45 % marks and 40% marks for EWS, SC and STs to be eligible for the MHT CET 2026 counselling.

What is MHT CET CAP 2026?
CAP stands for Centralised Admission Process. It is conducted in separate rounds for admission into various colleges. The authority will conduct the MHT CET CAP 2026 in three rounds. Candidates who qualify for the MHT CET exam are eligible to participate in the CAP rounds. MHT-CET is a computer based test conducted only at allotted exam centers, not from home or personal PCs, Students from outside Maharashtra can appear for the exam at selected centres during application. Non-Maharashtra candidates usually can't claim state quota seats through CAP and often use JEE Main scores instead.
