The authority will announce the MHT CET reservation policy 2026 online. The reservation policy refers to the percentage of seats allotted to each reservation category. The reservation policy for various categories is mentioned below.
The authority only provides reservation for the candidates from Maharashtra state. Candidates availing the MHT CET Reservation for Maharashtra Students must ensure they have the required documents issued by the Maharashtra State while applying for the MHT CET exam. The category-wise reservation for the MHT CET 2025 local candidates is specified below.

5% of seats across all categories are reserved for children of Actively serving and Ex- defence personnel who belong to Maharashtra and personnel that are stationed in Maharashtra.
The authority also grants reservation for candidates with disabilities. A total of 5% of all seats across all courses included under the MHT CAP will be reserved for candidates with 40% benchmark disability. The disabilities that will be included are mentioned below

The authority has allotted 10% of the seats for EWS candidates. Candidates will be granted admission through CAP. These seats will not be included in the the total seats allotted for a particular course
According to the MHT CET reservation policy, 1% of seats will be reserved for Orphan candidates . These will be filled through the CAP process.
As a part of the women reservation, a total of 30% of all seats will be reserved towards the MHT CET women category. However, no reservation for Female candidates will be allotted under the Defence, Persons with Disability and Orphan categories.

Candidates belonging to states other than Maharashtra can also apply for admission through MHT CET 2026. However, there is no reservation for the other states candidates and they will be considered as the All-India rank. Hence, candidates with an All-India rank will be allotted seats based on the total vacant seats left over after the counselling process.

As per the MHT CET syllabus 2024 with weightage PCM and PCB prescribed by the Maharashtra CET Cell, 20 percent weightage is given to the Class 11 topics and the remaining 80 percent to the Class 12 topics of the Maharashtra board.

Hope you are preparing well for the exam ! In the mht cet exam there are physics , chemistry, mathematics and biology . Class 12th and class 11th topics will be asked in the examination and 20% weightage is given to the Class 11th syllabus and 80% weightage to the Class 12th syllabus. This is most important thing to know for a aspirant . Know your syllabus and prepare accordingly for the exam .
