JEE Main Provisional Answer Key 2026 - NTA will upload the JEE Mains answer key for session 1 and session 2 on the official website. Candidates will be able to download the JEE Mains provisional answer key of both sessions from the portal, jeemain.nta.nic.in or using the direct link. Using the answer key, students can calculate their expected marks and percentile in the JEE Mains exam. The JEE Main 2026 exam will be held in 2 sessions. The Session 1 will be held tentatively in the Third week of January 2026, and session 2 is expected to be conducted in the First week of April 2026. Enter the login credentials - JEE Main application number and password
Click on submit, and the provisional JEE Mains 2026 answer key appears on the screen.

After downloading the NTA JEE Main provisional answer key 2026, candidates will be allowed to raise objections against the answers. To raise objections, candidates must note the question ID and the answer provided in JEE Main official answer key 2026. Now, apply through the JEE Main provisional answer key link and pay a processing fee of Rs 200 for each question. Follow the below steps to challenge the provisional JEE Main answer key 2026 -

Click on the link to ‘Challenges Regarding JEE Mains answer key 2026’.
Candidates are required to log in using their application number and password.
The JEE Main answer key shall contain the question ID as well as the ID with a correct option for both papers 1 and 2.
In case of some error, candidates can challenge the question by selecting one or more IDs.
Now click on ‘Save your claim’ and click on Next.
Question ID so challenged shall appear on the screen.
Candidates are required with the necessary documents in support of their claim.
They have to upload the same in pdf form and click on the ‘Choose file’ button shown on the screen.
The next step requires candidates to pay the processing fee of Rs 200 for each question thus objected against. Payment can be done through credit card/ debit card/ net banking.
Students can calculate the probable score using the answer key of JEE Main 2026. As it is well known through the JEE Main exam pattern that there is negative marking for the exam and correct answers bring certain marks, the table below reflects the marking scheme to be referred to:
