There are certain conditions and requirements that students belonging to the reserved category are required to meet to obtain seats under reservation. The Admission Committee for Professional Courses reserves a certain percentage of seats for students of reserved categories. Candidates seeking admission through GUJCET 2026 reservation criteria will have to mandatorily produce a Certificate of Inclusion in the selected category. If the candidate belongs to Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC), then they will have to produce a certificate stating their non-inclusion in Creamy Layer along with the category certificate.
The caste certificate or non-inclusion in Creamy Layer certificate will not be valid unless it is duly stamped, signed, and issued by authorities empowered by the Government of Gujarat.
Candidates with disabilities have to submit their certificate of disability issued and signed by the authorities.
Candidates applying for admission under the Ex-Serviceman category will be required to submit a certificate issued by the Director, Sainik Welfare Board, Gujarat or by the District Sainik Welfare Officer.
Candidates failing to produce the certificates within the allotted time, then he/she will be allotted through the unreserved category.
In case the certificates are found to be invalid during the verification process, the candidates will not be allowed admission through reservation. If the candidates are already allotted, then their reservations will be canceled.
Once all of the reserved category candidates are allotted into the seats, the remaining vacant reserved seats will be converted into unreserved category seats.
The authorities will release the GUJCET 2026 eligibility criteria on the official website. Candidates need to check the GUJCET eligibility criteria in the information brochure. The eligibility criteria will include education qualification, nationality, and domicile. Applicants must fulfil the GUJCET eligibility conditions to apply for the entrance test. Failure to meet these criteria will result in the cancellation of their candidature. Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the main subjects for Engineering. Additionally, candidates should have scored 45% (40% for reserved categories) in Class 12.
